Uyen was a joy! She was attentive, helped me pick out the perfect colors, and was so friendly! It was nice just chatting with her as well as her service which was above and beyond! The atmosphere is nice and the salon us very clean. I would highly recommend!
I was really disappointed with my visit here, especially given the price point. I spent over $200 for a builder gel full set on my hands and a gel pedicure, and the results unfortunately did not meet expectations. The builder gel nails came out very thick, uneven, and already lifting. They’ve even been painful with regular daily activities, which I’ve never experienced before with builder gel. While the service was being done, I pointed out some concerns (for example, the drill nicking my skin and the gel not sitting flush with my cuticle and the uneven thickness). Instead of addressing them, the tech seemed to get irritated and asked me to wait until the end to mention any more issues which made it impossible to fix most of them. There are also small specks sealed into the polish that make the finish look messy. The pedicure was average at best, but within two days the polish was already chipping, which really shouldn’t happen with gel. I've been going to Kitchen Nail Bar for a long time but seeing the quality of service deteriorate slowly. These were supposed to be my birthday nails, so I left feeling especially let down. For the cost, I expected higher quality work and a more professional approach to feedback. At the very least, I had hoped to feel heard as a customer.
I got my nails done about two and a half weeks ago, and to be honest, I’m extremely disappointed—especially considering I paid $125. Today, while doing something as simple as folding laundry, one of the acrylics completely snapped off. I didn’t hit my hand or damage the nail in any way, and my natural nail underneath wasn’t harmed, which tells me the acrylic wasn’t applied properly in the first place. What’s even more frustrating is that from the start, there were several issues I let slide. Every nail had visible rings of fire, which usually means the drill was used incorrectly—and that my nails have now been damaged. On top of that, there were specs sealed into the 3D design (including a random red one in a flower), and leftover black polish from a previous set that was never fully removed and ended up sealed under the new design. You can still see it on the sides of my nails. To make matters worse, some of the line work was incomplete—like on my pinky, where there’s an obvious gap in the design that was never finished. I honestly wasn’t planning to leave a review, but the acrylic actually breaking off after less than three weeks was the final straw. For the price, I expected way better quality, care, and professionalism. I believe the artist’s name was L*****. This whole experience was a letdown especially considering how much I paid.
Kathy is an amazing nail tech! I’ve been going to her for the past 6 months, and every visit has been a great experience. She’s kind, attentive, gentle with cuticle care and filing, always making sure everything is clean and comfortable. Her attention to detail shows in the beautiful gel pedicures, manicures, and stunning designs she’s done for me—including my recent gel X set with stickers, which I love! She’s also fun to talk to, which makes every appointment something I look forward to. 🤩
I have never been to a nail salon that I look forward to going to so much, ever! Naomi is my fave girl and I have been seeing her for close to a year now and don't plan to ever see anyone else. I happily drive over an hour once a month to see her for my nails and it's worth it every single time!! She's so kind and down to earth, it's always like visiting and catching up with my long time friend that happens to be super talented with designs and nail art. I always get so many compliments on my nails and am quick to recommend her to everyone and anyone! Check out her page on Instagram, you'll see for yourself!
