Felt like home. The owners and works were very kind and the food was really good! I had a torta de papas with chorizo and I got a Mazapán latte and both were fantastic! Everything on the torta was homemade, really fresh, and really good! 10/10 really recommend. Also their pumpkin empanada was perfect amount of sweetness.
Solid spot for a quick lunch. They have a variety of baked goods and sandwiches which are pretty good for the price. Their BLT is particularly good since they put a generous amount of bacon in there, as well as a good amount of avocado. The store is decorated quite nicely and has a cozy and casual vibe. Service is quick and friendly as well. Definitely worth checking out.
K&J Sweets and Bakery is a cute well-located café that’s perfect for a casual date or an afternoon snack. The space is bright with lots of natural light and is very clean. The service was warm and welcoming, and I loved the vibes!!! Especially the Latin pop music playing in the background, took me back to early 2000s. We tried a few items: the BLT sandwich was good, and my wife had the matcha lavender, which was good though not her favorite. I had the cucumber and lemon agua fresca, which was very refreshin, a highlight!!! For dessert, the concha was delicious, but the real standout was the pineapple empanadas!!! It was truly yummy!!! It’s also a big plus that it’s Latino-owned and just a short walk from SJSU, making it a great hangout spot for students and locals. Let’s keep supporting our small businesses and local entrepreneurs!!!
I had 9 mins left on the meter so I decided to go into the store for an iced coffee! When ordering I decided on an iced mocha instead and my buddy the green matcha. Not only was it good, it wasn't overwhelming sweet. Hit it right on the nail with taste, coffee, and sweetness. Not a lot of places know how to do that. Will be back to try the pastries! 😌
Very beautiful welcoming place, very clean, very peaceful inside. Makes you feel good to be in San Jose with such special places like this. Very nice people. Delicious brownies, Matcha latte and Mango Cake ! Fantastic spot, probably my new favorite treat spot. Definitely high on my list of perfectly balanced treats to satisfy your sweet tooth and not feel sick afterwords. I’ve been so excited to try this place and they did their thing! You should go here and show some support!
