What a year can do. This was the third year in a row we decided to come to Kobe for our kids birthday dinner. The past two years were great, good wait staff and chef for the show. This year was not the case. The wait staff was not very attentive, during the initial ordering they must of misheard our rice order as all but one of our party ordered fried rice, 6 of the 7. When the rice order came we received 2 orders of fried rice. Instead of just fixing the order without saying anything, they proceeded to blame one of our party, saying she ordered fried rice. We also ordered a couple appetizers, edamame and calamari. The edamame portions are always a good size and it is cooked properly. The calamari portions are very small for the price, our only advantage was the kitchen burned / overcooked the first order and had to be redone, so the waitstaff did not charge us for it. Once the chef arrived to prepare the food, he was not very interactive and appeared he did not want to be there. The vegetables were over salted, the chicken we ordered was overcooked and extremely dry. The filets we ordered were overcooked, we asked for medium rare and they were more on the medium well side. We also didn't receive any of the sauces for dipping, unless that has been removed since the last time we visited. The show was very weak compared to previous years. Overall we were very disappointed with this visit. For the price we paid for our meal, I would have rather paid a little more and went to Mahogany where the service and food usually do not disappoint. Maybe our staff was having a bad night, but that experience will most likely make us rethink returning. For the price of the dinners here I expect better than.
Food was incredible! Our chef was top tier! Funny, personable, and made everyone feel a part of the experience. We had 2 kids under 1 with us and even tailored the experience to try and make it fun for them. If you can reserve a table with a certain chef, make sure that Jar is your chef! He will make it a memorable experience!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming, energetic, and perfect for both special occasions and casual nights out. The hibachi chefs are incredibly talented—funny, engaging, and impressive to watch. The food is cooked to perfection right in front of you, and every bite is packed with flavor. The steak was tender and juicy, the chicken perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp was cooked just right. Their fried rice is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had. Portions are generous, so you definitely leave full and satisfied. The service was outstanding as well—friendly, attentive, and fast. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, date night, or just craving amazing hibachi, Kobe never disappoints. Highly recommend to anyone in the Omaha area looking for great food and a fun experience!
We had an amazing time! We went as a small group for our friends birthday and our cook was the best! We had so much fun he was hilarious and had great people skills! Will definitely be back!
A fun evening for a large or small group. The chef is interactive and entertaining while preparing your favorite selections of meats and veggies. We had 9 in our group and the chef prepared everyone's beef to their specific doneness. Also, we had one person with a shellfish allergy and he was careful and attentive to keep her food prepared separately and before the food with seafood. That was very nice so we all could enjoy our evening meal together. The portions were generous. I had leftovers to take home. The salad with the dressing was very flavorful and crisp. The soup was nice. A good flavor . A fun part was the chef cutting shrimp up and making multiple air tosses into the open mouths of willing participants. The bar drinks were done nicely as well. Very attentive staff to keep the tables clean and organized throughout the meal. It made for a fun and enjoyable evening.
