If you’re a non white person just don’t come here. The employees and even the shoppers will look at you crazy like you don’t belong in there. Literally a woman and the employee stopped mid convo to look at me like I was completely out of place. I walked around there for 30 min and crossed paths with multiple employees. Not a single person greeted me or even asked if I needed any assistance. I definitely felt the vibe being off the moment I walked inside and picked up a basket. The people here forget that Latino people have money too.
This is the place to go when you need to buy a gift for that one person who has everything. My favorite area is their bedding room, they have the most amazing collection of bedding in various patterns, textures, and natural materials that I’ve ever seen. 😍 I had a chance to meet the owners; they were very nice! I will definitely be shopping again!
Worst experience ever! Left work early to come return something the day after and it is not even closing time and they are saying that the department that does the returns is already closed. They said they close at 6:30 but at 6:25 they were already gone. Its Christmas season so I would imagine people would actually stick around for sales. The people that were still there were all just sitting around as well! Wow, to think I used to always come to this place for many of my house hold items. Will not be doing that anymore. Would not recommend.
I hardly know where to begin. Today I stopped by KUHL after a quick trip to Target, and what should have been a simple visit turned into one of the most uncomfortable and bewildering experiences I’ve had in a retail store. Upon entering, I noticed a short Caucasian man by the Alabama Street entrance. At first, he appeared to be a regular shopper, but I quickly recognized him as the owner from previous store publications. As I walked in, I caught him blatantly peeking into my Target bag. He must not have realized that I could see him watching me. As I continued browsing, the situation became increasingly unsettling. Every time I turned around, he was directly behind me. He eventually got on the phone and moments later, another man wearing a yellow shirt and khaki pants began trailing me through multiple aisles. Their behavior was not subtle when I moved; he moved. When I stopped, he pretended to rearrange items on the shelf. It was painfully obvious, intrusive, and frankly, humiliating. To confirm I wasn’t imagining things, I intentionally changed directions several times. Each time, the man mirrored my movements, validating what I already knew: I was being watched and followed throughout the store for no legitimate reason. When I finally confronted him and asked, “Sir, are you following me?” he quickly denied it, but his actions said everything his words did not. This message is specifically for the owner: Racial profiling your customers is unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disappointing. I have patronized this store numerous times, and to be treated with such suspicion and disrespect is both insulting and entirely unnecessary. No customer deserves to feel criminalized simply for shopping. This experience was not only uncomfortable it was egregious, demoralizing, and completely avoidable. I expected far better from a business that claims to value its clientele. I hope KUHL takes this incident seriously, because no loyal customer should ever endure this type of discriminatory behavior. PS: African Americans do spend money too.
I love this store! It’s an upscale destination with a superb selection of gift and house items. - Exclusive Brands: The only store in Houston that carries DS&Durga fragrances, and they also stock Vilhelm Parfumerie. - Spacious Layout: The store is fairly large, providing a comfortable shopping experience. - Unique Selection: Offers a distinctive range of products that you won’t find elsewhere. - Gift Services: They provide gift wrap services, making it an excellent place to pick up gifts. - Parking: storefront free parking - service: overall my experience with staff was pleasant However, my only complaint is that you can find better deals by purchasing directly from the brands, as the store does not accept any discount codes for some of the lines they carry.
