The food service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out exactly as ordered. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well presented, with generous portions that made it worth the price. The drinks were just as impressive—well mixed, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Overall, the combination of great service, delicious food, and solid drinks made for an enjoyable experience. I’d definitely recommend this place and would happily return.

I recently visited Kumagoro in Anchorage and had such a great experience! I ordered the spicy chungpan with shrimp and clams, and for dessert, I tried fried Oreos for the very first time — and wow, I loved it! The cook at the live station was super friendly and fun to chat with, and the service staff were equally welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ve been living in Anchorage for over a year and have visited Kumagoro a couple of times. If you’re looking for delicious ramen, soups, and seafood, this place is a big go! Some of my must-try favorites: Kumagoro Roll Kamikaze Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Samurai Roll A fresh salad with tuna that’s definitely worth ordering As a hotelier myself, I really appreciate good hospitality and good food — Kumagoro delivers both. If you’re ever in Anchorage, don’t miss this spot!

Best sushi in downtown anchorage and my favorite sushi restaurant in town hands down! The service is super warm and welcoming. We did not wait long for our food to come out and the owner checks in on how we are enjoying the food. The fish and uni seems to always be fresh and delicious. My favorite is the hamachi roll. The owner said they tweaked their ramen recipe and now it is my favorite ramen in town and you can get it late at night on the weekends, which I love. 10/10 experience!!!

Waitress was friendly and stopped by our table often. Didn’t speak much Japanese. Sushi was sliced nice and thick, tasted good. Kimchi was good, could be a bit hotter. Bulgogi was just the way I like it, with minimal fat and gristle. Portions were plentiful. Rice was not properly sticky and had a non-Japanese off taste- maybe SE Asian rice???
