I love coming here for brunch! Everything we’ve tried is superb, including the taste and presentation of the food. The place is also very aesthetically pleasing and customer service is excellent. We’ve tried their sopes, quesadillas de huitlacoche, chilaquiles and more!
Café La Parroquia in Laredo is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with authentic flavors that instantly transport you straight to Veracruz. Their bomba jarocha — a warm concha filled with beans and cheese — is out of this world. It’s unique, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The antojitos, especially the sopes, are prepared with that true Mexican touch; every bite tastes homemade and full of tradition. Their seafood dishes also stand out, fresh and perfectly seasoned. But the star of the show? The café lechero. They prepare it exactly the way it’s done in Puerto de Veracruz — same pour, same ritual, same incredible flavor. One sip and you’re transported right back to the malecón. It’s nostalgic, authentic, and worth the visit on its own. Beautiful place, excellent service, and unforgettable flavors. Highly recommended.
We were “attended” by Saul. But he just took our food order. Didn’t come to ask if we were ok not even ONCE. And that’s that we were sitting right next to the double doors leading to the kitchen. He could have taken 3 seconds to acknowledge us while passing. Food was good. We wanted to get dessert but the service was a huge let down. Didn’t want dessert anymore. We had to go for the check in the front. We’re also good tippers, Saul missed out! Too busy taking pics of some ladies in another table.
My first time in Laredo, so here too. Came in with some co-workers due to the online reviews. This joint didn't disappoint! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, like we were family. The staff and owners were extremely friendly and didn't hesitate to offer us some suggestions. I started with a delicious cup of Cafe de Olla. Ordered their Montaditos, which are some of the best breakfast items I've had in some time. The guys all ordered something different and said the same as l. Work will bring me down here several times this year and I can't wait to come back and more amazing food here.

The server provided excellent service and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the meal. The restaurant's cleanliness was notable and contributed to a comfortable dining experience. The cozy atmosphere enhanced the overall enjoyment of the visit. I would recommend this establishment for its pleasant ambiance and attentive staff. It's a great place to enjoy a meal.
