Omg so good. I got the avocado sandwich and it was incredible!! And huge. Their coffee was great too, they have non-dairy milk options and many flavors. My husband got a Cuban sandwich and guava pastry. The guava pastry had a generous amount of filling and was super soft. It’s definitely on the sweet side if you like that. We will definitely be back, you get a lot of food for a decent price which is hard to find in St Pete!
I have never—and I truly mean never—been disappointed when visiting La Segunda. This is hands down the best Cuban sandwich, and with every bite I’m taken straight back to my childhood. The food is consistently amazing, and the experience is just as memorable. Blue has always been incredibly helpful and kind every time I’ve visited, and the rest of the staff I’ve interacted with have been just as welcoming. I definitely suggest everyone tries La Segunda! This restaurant has Never missed its mark, The amazing food and service, well, it’s a Bulls-eye each and every time I’ve been there! , and I for one will continue coming again and again.
What a little gem! The sandwiches are amazing and they’re big so they actually fill you up! I come here for breakfast. The pastries are delicious too! The puff pastries are flakey and the brownies and danishes are so moist! The apple cinnamon pastry was amazing. Not dry at all. The best though was the brookie! It’s a brownie cookie filled with frosting it might even be a Dulce de leche thing they put in there not sure but it’s delicious. The regular brownie was equally as moist. They also have a rewards system you save money after a few purchases and get a birthday reward. The coffee is fabulous. My boyfriend comes here just for the coffee. They have an egg and cheese sandwich and you can add veggies to it if you don’t eat meat. Can’t wait to come here again! I didn’t realize the La segunda bread at the store I always see comes from this store (or supplier of the store) I didn’t realize it was local. The staff is also super kind here. Lots of seating inside and outside and they have high chairs
La Segunda has the best hot sandwiches in St. Petersburg! My husband's friend recommended this place for Cuban sandwiches. We are visiting from Houston for a few days. I tried the avocado hot sandwich, and it was delicious! It has sliced avocado, fried eggs, sundried tomato paste, and crushed red pepper. The Cuban bread was perfect—thin and crispy. The avocado was fresh, vibrant green, and soft, with no brown blemishes. A fried egg served as the protein in the sandwich, and a drizzle of hot sauce enhanced the flavor. It made for an excellent brunch! We will return for a second visit before we head back to Houston.
I want to thank the staff at La Segunda Bakery in Saint Pete. My partner and friends visited it and I left my hat there; the next day, I went there to have breakfast and not only they gave my hat but they custom made a vegetarian cheese muffuletta (no meat) for me. The coffee (cafe con leche) was delicious too. You are Amazing 😻. Thank all. 🙏
