I ordered paoched egg and avocado. It came very fast and had superb taste. With a very simple material the food was absolutely fresh and felt healthy . The home potato with chipotle dip on side was great . Potatoes were cooked to perfection and didn’t taste oily at all. Free run eggs were cooked great. Cappuccino taste was simply amazing (I’d just say it was on small side a bit). Staff were very nice , fast and friendly. (Don’t know how they were all super fit working in a restaurant:) Atmosphere was bright and modern. I’d just say most sits were located in a narrow hallway with WC or exit infront of you so view was quite blocked. But overall enjoyed the place and food very much .
Decided to give brunch a try at this little east end Gem. On the outside it’s quite unassuming but just go up the stairs you’ll enter a long high ceiling well lit room with wood paneling. It’s a very tranquil space with lots of natural light. I was greeted and seated quickly. The diner was packed and abuzz. The service was prompt and efficient. You don’t feel rushed. I had the BAB Benny. My friend had the Huevos Miga. Both dishes were well presented and tasty. The coffee was quite good too. Overall a great local gem. I look forward to bringing my other friends to try it.
Nov 2025: 3.5/5.0 rounded down. We visited on a Saturday morning at 9:00am and there was no wait! Nor was there a wait around 10:00am when we left. We ordered the Crepe Croque Monsieur, Braised Beef Benny, and Cold Pressed Apple Beet Ginger Juice. The benedict was alright – it was nothing special, at least for me, but I would recommend it if you're craving braised beef for brunch. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly though, and the salad and dressing were nice. The crepe was also just okay. Would not recommend. It was basic and most of the flavour came from the cheese in the crepe. Though again, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The juice was great! Really tasty and a great start to the morning, but you can definitely make this at home with a juicer too :) The staff were all really friendly and nice. The party beside us had dietary restrictions (celiac and lactose intolerant) and the waitress was really thorough in explaining all the different options and alternatives available. Separate note: they had a plastic container of jam/marmalade sitting on a small corner shelf below waist level, uncovered, which didn't seem very hygienic– especially with people walking back and forth, and with the bathrooms nearby.
A small cozy restaurant that has good reasonably priced food. Is been a while since I ate brunch at a place where the price was reasonable and the food was also good. The Moroccan scramble was great, would definitely recommend. We shared the bread pudding and it was so good! There was a bit of a wait time here like any other brunch places but the line moved fast and the wait was worth it. Would definitely come again.
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Waited in line for about 20-30mins. They do not do reservations, so make sure you come earlier and aren’t starving. The place is small but they have 2 floors. It has a very cute and intimate aesthetic. We were seated on the first floor so I’m not sure if they can accommodate larger groups, but I wouldn’t take that risk. Once we got seated, the service was very quick. One thing I liked is the menu is the perfect amount of simple but extensive. There’s definitely some unique options on there. The reason why I have this place 4 stars instead of 5 is two-fold: 1) my partner asked for a larger salad instead of home fries as part of his order and his salad did not look that much larger than mine. It looked like maybe 1 or 2 more pieces of veggies. 2) the home fries weren’t cooked too well, they were way too greasy, almost as if they were overcooked or old. Aside from that, I wouldn’t mind returning.
