I became a member a few months ago, and the gym is ok, one of the few things that I don’t like is some workers bad attitude, specifically the guy that is working in the reception the Saturday in the mornings, between 5 to 7 am, really bad image and really bad attitude, He never answer when you tell he, good morning or thank you after he scanned your code, other people complain about him with other costumers but anything happens, he still working there doing really bad things and make mostly of the costumers don’t feel comfortable going to the gym. Really not happy about having a not welcoming attitude from that special worker, plus many bad experiences with the facility, the gym needs more workers that clean more often the restrooms, showers, steam room and for sure upstairs, Cleaners are amazing, but most occasions they have more work than they can be done.
Expensive, yes; but the amenities make it worth it. The Parents Night Out alone is worth more than a sitter if you use it every week. We love the weight room and the cardio machines... haven't even tried the group classes yet in the 4 years we've been here. My kids are in tennis, swim team, and swim lessons. It's also super helpful to have the drop-in Kids Academy year-round (no reservations, unless you have an infant) that has so many alternating activities from rock climbing to pickle ball to gym games to tumbling to crafts, etc.! And the staff is always SUPER friendly and the front desk greet us by name. Thankful for this facility for my family!
This rating is for Carli at the LifeSpa. I have been receiving massages for 2-3 decades from various massage therapists as I travel. Carli is absolutely one of the BEST! She listened carefully to my expectations and needs, then expertly applied her knowledge of various massage modalities to address them. I visit Colorado Springs regularly and you can be sure an appointment with Carli will be a top priority when I’m in town! (PS - you don’t need to be a Lifetime Fitness member to use the Life Spa services.)
I have been a member for over five years, and the dues have consistently increased year after year. When I try to contact the General Manager, Brian Chuckran, regarding any issues, my dues increase further, and my inquiries are disregarded. I provided feedback about the Life Cafe beginning to request tips when I simply purchase a bottle of water. Instead of addressing this concern, I am informed that my monthly dues are increasing. The costs associated with the gym have risen substantially over the past two years, and there has been no noticeable improvement. Apart from increased compensation for gym staff, it appears that paying significantly more does not benefit the members.
This is an amazing gym. The trainers are very knowledgeable and there's plenty of well maintained equipment. The classes, pool, staff and security are very good. My interactions with Brian Chuckran have been very productive. If you use the gym on a regular basis, it will be hard to find something better.
