The store manager (I guess), the bold old guy, is so bloody rude and arrogant. dont know why they keep him there. Seriously it is the last time I bought something there, have had to put up with this guy for so long
Inconsistent rules. Purchased alcohol physically without any problems by showing my foreign ID for 2 months. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I was denied service on the basis that I could not show a domestic Australian ID. They even denied a picture of my passport, and demanded the physical copy. After the incident, I found out that similar treatment was given to other foreigners in Canberra. Sadly, this seems to depend on the employee in charge at the time
Said it closes at 11pm, showed up at 10:45pm chains were up and till being counted. Normally wouldn't mind but when it's the last place open you really should stay open until advertised time, especially if youre in a Coles
The staff here should be sacked. This is the 3rd and last time ive ben spoken to and dismissed disrespectfully at Liquorland Canberra Centre. The first time I was ignored and stood next to the till area for 15 minutes whilst two staff members joked about their weekends, all I wanted was a bottle of $79 Gin from the glass cupboard. The second time I asked for a type of beer that they didn't have and I got a "Nahhhhh". Today I went in with my partner and tried to buy bourbon, I was denied service because my partner didn't have ID. Why couldn't I buy alcohol if I have ID-and I am the one who is purchasing it? I had ID, and am well over age..if I have ID and I want to buy alcohol, then just give it to me. Don't have an argument with me when im standing next to a man who then bought wine, didn't get asked for ID and walked out with his 10 year old daughter. AVOID.
