I had an incredible time during the walking food tour in Montreal. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Walking through the old part of the city and learning more about this amazing historical place was a high light of my first time here. I would definitely go again and I highly recommend this tour. This is an amazing time spent for the foodie in all of us.

We did the Old Montreal Food Tour and we loved it. Excellent pace and food selection. Our tour guide (Sandrine?) was amazing and so knowledgeable. It was fun 3 hours with a great group of people. Highly recommended!

Darren is a great tour guide. Me and my son had a great time with the Mile End food tour. We got a wide variety of food tastings. Got really full at the end of the tour. So definitely come with hungry stomach ❤️❤️

Where do I begin, this food tour was so amazing! The food, the history and the quality of everything was truly a lovely experience (even the portions were perfect). He also took amazing care of our pregnant friend and was considerate of her diet restrictions. We booked with Local Montreal Food tour for our group to celebrate a bachelorette and it was the highlight of our short time in Montreal. Ronnie was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, kind and passionate about the food and the history/ City of Montreal. He even gave the best food recommendations. When I come back I will for sure request him specifically. Thank you for an amazing tour and one of the best food tours I’ve ever been to!!

The Mile End food tour made this Montreal born foodie fall back in love with my own city — one delicious stop at a time! Even on a rainy spring day, the tour was cozy, fun, and packed with flavor. Our guide Louis (who’s been doing this since 1997!) shared such rich stories about the neighborhood — from its diverse communities and history to the art, architecture, and especially the people behind the local food spots. His passion for Mile End really came through. What I love most about a food tour like this is that it lets you try so many different flavors without needing to commit to full-sized portions from every place. You get a curated bite-sized tasting experience that feels both satisfying and thoughtful. Something important to note: While the food stops are pre-selected to ensure a smooth experience with restaurants, each guide brings their own perspective to the tour — pointing out different historical, cultural, and architectural highlights along the way. Their personal stories and insights give every tour its own unique flavor, making each experience feel fresh and special. Here’s what my food tour looked like: • Lester’s Deli (in nearby Outremont): We kicked things off with a classic smoked meat sandwich that seriously impressed me — and I’m not even usually into smoked meat. • Nita Tout Garni: A gravlax sandwich on homemade bread with a glass of French white wine — fresh, balanced, and beautifully done. • Niata: The Greek kotopita was flaky, buttery, and instantly transported me back to Santorini. • St-Viateur Bagel: A Mile End icon. Still warm, sesame-packed, and delicious. Our guide shared that sadly, one of the owner’s sons passed away recently. It was touching to see how the community continues to show up and support them — a reminder of how deeply these spots are tied to the heart of the neighborhood. • Balbastik: Tried hibiscus juice for the first time — refreshing, floral, and a nice contrast to all the richer bites. • Chez Brebis: A mini cheese tasting of raw milk cheeses made in Quebec — including goat, sheep, and cow varieties. Funky and flavorful! • Kem CoBa: Ended with a passion fruit and Madagascar vanilla soft serve. OBSESSED. If you love food and stories, this tour is for you. It’s perfect whether you’re a local wanting to see your city with fresh eyes, or a visitor looking for an authentic, flavorful slice of Montreal. Highly recommend!
