Loved my tour with Dawnie. She's very knowledgeable and I appreciate her masters in food studies. We discovered so many new places I would not have found on my own. Hard to say which stop was the best. Will have to take more tours.
Our group's food tour was absolutely wonderful! Dawnie is an amazing guide, and her love for food and Sacramento is palpable. The food selections, pace, and information shared were all excellent. Can't wait to explore another part of the city with Local Roots!
My family has taken several walking food tours with Local Roots ( we're locals). All of the tour guides are very knowledgeable, have great history backgrounds, and are very friendly. We took the Midtown tour. Great food samples, learn about the local culture, and informative viewings of giant murals on building walls that Sacramento is known for (Wide Open Walls). In addition to a great tour, you'll likely meet some friendly visitors on the tour from all over who will share about their hometowns, in case you ever visit their city. Highly recommend Local Roots.
We had a fabulous Food and Mural tour led by Kevin. We sampled food at fine eateries, ending with incredible treats at Ginger Elizabeth! As great atls the food was, my favorite part was viewing and hearing all about the Sacramento murals. Kevin was very knowledgeable and fun!
We had a wonderful time on this tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Sacramento, the art around town, and the local food. Hey love for the city and it's culinary history were evident throughout. We will definitely do another tour next time!
