My experience with LoLa Beauty for my wedding wasn’t quite what I expected. While the artists were very kind and professional, the final look did not match my trial in my opinion, or expectations for my wedding day. I absolutely loved my makeup at the trial (photos attached — polka dot blouse). The only adjustments I requested for the wedding day were not filling in my cupid’s bow and creating a softer arch to my eyebrows. However, throughout the day I felt that my eye makeup appeared much lighter and less defined, my eyebrows looked softer/lighter in color, and the eyelashes were far less noticeable. When comparing wedding photos to my trial photos, the eyeshadow is less dramatic and the lash style does not match the trial. Even my maid of honor commented to me after the wedding that it looked “half done.” Regarding hair, I did experience hair loss several months before the wedding, so I understand the stylist was working with limited volume. That said, I regularly wear extensions and am very familiar with getting long-lasting curls and volume without hairspray. On my wedding day, my curls dropped and lost volume within the first half hour, even before the ceremony photos were completed outdoors. Frizz developed, and I found myself trying to touch up my hair with a flat iron before the reception. Looking back, I’m not really happy with the final result. I attended another wedding the following weekend (photo attached — maroon dress), and I personally feel my hair and eye makeup looked more polished. This may come down to personal preference. I wish I had spoken up more in the moment but we were already running behind. The artists were lovely and so kind! And the moms and bridesmaids looked lovely (photos attached). But the services were quite expensive, and the automatic 25% gratuity felt inappropriate given the outcome.
I used Lola Beauty for my wedding and had a wonderful experience. Holly (hair) and Diana (makeup) did an amazing job with everyone. They really listened to my preferences and matched the vision perfectly! Getting ready with them the day of was fun and still efficient. Would highly recommend!
I chose Lola Beauty for our wedding and was so happy with the experience! I loved that I was able to do a trial and meet my stylists beforehand, it made me feel so confident going into the big day. The team was also incredibly accommodating, even adding on a couple of last-minute services, which I really appreciated. A huge shoutout to Erin and Rachel, who did my hair and makeup for the wedding day. They are true masters of their craft and brought my vision to life perfectly. I felt so beautiful thanks to them. My only note is regarding one of the additional stylists, Dawn. While she did fine for some of the older guests, a few of the bridesmaids needed touch-ups from Erin afterward, as her work lacked the same precision and detail. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ve already recommended Lola Beauty to a friend!
Destiny did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and she was phenomenal! We did a trial prior to the big day and she made notes to troubleshoot the little things that we wanted to fix. She paid attention to all of my concerns and truly delivered for my wedding, carefully considering my skin and hair type. She is so kind and we enjoyed having her. She did makeup for some of my bridesmaids as well and it was flawless! We all loved it. Ashley did a lot of the girls’ hair and it all looked so amazing. Not only were her hairstyles beautiful, but she was also SO fast! Super efficient! They were a wonderful team and I recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup for an event!
We loved having Lola Beauty for our wedding!! I felt so beautiful, and Erin was so attentive to my vision and the hair and makeup turned out exactly how I wanted - glowy and me-but-better! The team also made all my bridesmaids and Mom feel and look gorgeous, and they were lovely and so sweet to have there on the day-of. I couldn't recommend them more!
