I brought in a wedding guest dress for alterations (shortening the straps, taking in one side of the waist and steaming). I was told the dress would look perfect once everything was completed. When I tried on the final product, the dress was actually damaged, with visible pulled threads and marks in the fabric. When I raised my concerns, I was told the fabric was “hard to work with” something I was never advised of before they proceeded with the alterations. What was most disappointing is that the mistakes were covered up and not mentioned to me at all. If they were unsure about working with satin, I should have been told before they altered my dress. Not to mention they are overpriced.
Really disappointed with the service provided here. I took a black gown to be taken up. The employee who measured the dress at the beginning told me it had a train, and was trying to talk me into taking it up but leaving the train, when it doesn’t. Then I get a text message telling me it was ready when it wasn’t, so I wasted over an hour of my time on a working day to pick it up when it wasn’t ready. The second employee asked me to try it on again so she could see the job she was doing. I collected it today and it is too short, I asked for it to touch the ground. I took the exact shoes I’m wearing with me each time. But now I’m left with a dress I paid $800 for, alterations that cost me $100, and a dress that isn’t perfect. It can’t be taken down again as they cut all the material off. Pretty unhappy with their service. I told Viktoria & Woods about it as they recommended their services when I purchased the dress. Never again will I trust this place with my clothing and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
They repaired a botched alteration by a different place which I was told couldn’t be fixed. Great service, and the prices are reasonable. Thank you so much!
I had a last minute alteration to a dress for a wedding. The staff sewed it perfectly. I found the people here very helpful, friendly and prompt. I highly recommend.
Amazing service! I took my wedding dress in for some alterations and they did a terrific job in a very short time. The team is very friendly, patient and professional. They put a lot of effort into making sure the dress fit perfectly! Can't recommend this place enough !
