Ive wanted to go to this restaurant for years. Finally made it here. I highly recommend this little bistro. We were warmly greeted and sat immediately. The atmosphere is low lighting, copy, inviting, and romantic. Comfy chairs and booths. Room for 2 or up to ten people. The service was wonderful. They are professional, kind, helpful, and accommodating. We had 3 employees tend to us through the night removing dishes, bringing food, taking additional drink orders. We didn't want for anything. The food was great. We came in around 4-430 during happy hour. Drinks and appetizers were large portions and very good. I ordered some oysters from PEI and my friend ordered the muscles. The cream sauce was flavorful. Not one muscle was bad. They had a winter warmup special. There are 4 appetizers choices, 4 entree choices, and 2 desserts. I attached the beet salad photo. The goat cheese balls melted in your mouth. The candied pecan were not too sweat or heavily coated. The salad had just the right mixture of crunch, saltiness, and sweetness. The lamb fell off the bone. No knife needed. The duck was delicious. I have no complaints. There is a lot of food. Different textures and flavors. Everything tasted like it was fresh off the farm. The dessert we both chose was the creme brule. The portions were large. The creme was perfectly flavored. The sugar topping was slightly burnt but still very good. We ordered a couple of cappuccino's. That was the only thing that was not consistent. One came out perfect, full, the white swirl in the middle. The other was not filled up and the foam looked just carelessly put on top. I recommend a reservation if you show up any day of the week around 5pm onwards or there will be a wait. We watched the place fill up very quickly. There is a parking structure right across the street and one block east on the Clarence. Reasonable pricing for parking. Easy to get to the restaurant in under 2 minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be back for a date night in the near future.

One of the best happy hours in the Byward Market. Everything was delicious. I especially loved the sliders, mushroom toasts and calamari.

We went on Dec 31 at 930pm a group if 6. The food tasted great and the service was even better. We had a few hiccups with the apps so they offered a free bottle of wine. The steaks and duck were really good. Since main course took too long and some were cold but they fixed them all, they removed all food from the bills. We were only expecting a few items but they wanted to make the evening right for us. Our server was amazing through the issues and the manager made sure we left happy, and we did.

Ordered lamb shank and it took more than 40 minutes to come,my French onion soup took about 30 minutes to come, the point is the wait time is just too long I nearly gave up. The food was good,it’s a solid 7/10, the lamb was soft as it should but the spice did not penetrate deep. The waiters are nice and attentive

A good place to stop for a meal in Ottawa. Great location, close to all the attractions. The service was good, the food was delicious. We live in Montreal, but in three years in Canada, we've never had a good meal anywhere—the food is just disgusting everywhere. When we went to Ottawa for the weekend to celebrate my birthday, we certainly weren't expecting culinary delights, but we were pleasantly surprised when we ended up at Luxe Bistro. The drinks were good, the food was excellent, and the portions were huge, in the best Canadian tradition! We were satisfied, and I was very pleased that the restaurant gave us a beautiful and delicious dessert (my favorite) as a gift when my husband mentioned to the waiter that it was my birthday. 🥳 I recommend it 🌟
