love getting Russian manicures, and this place was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Carlina at the front desk was very kind and helpful. My nail tech, Oskanna, was extremely patient while I changed nail colors and tried different shades on to see what I liked. She did a beautiful job—very detailed and excellent with shaping. I’m also glad how easy it was to schedule an appointment. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks!
I usually get my Russian manicure with cat eye effect and so do all my friends so we are all very aware of what a good cat eye effect looks like. I got the "cat eye" red polish here. When the technician completed two nails, I mentioned that the polish looked sparkly/reflective, however, without a good cat eye effect. I told her I was not happy with the result. She said that it was too late to change the polish at that point. I wanted to relax and not exert energy arguing with her bc it had been a long week. This experience should've been relaxing but after I saw the result, she did not want to fix it/make me happy and my friends have all agreed that the nail polish is mainly just sparkly/reflective (not the elegant/significant cat eye look I wanted), I am not sure I'd come back or at least not for the cat eye effect since their outlook on cat eye effect is different than mine and my friends. It is way too subtle for us.
a friend recommended luxy nails when i was admiring her nails and i’m so glad i made that first appointment! i spent years doing my own nails with just regular polish and i wanted to try hard builder gel to reduce breakage. i chose iryna at the winter park location based on her glowing reviews and examples of her work i saw on instagram. i’ve been twice and both times i’ve been so so pleased. iryna is so sweet and very professional! she works meticulously but still quickly and very gently. overall, the salon is very clean and has a welcoming vibe. sometimes salons can feel chaotic and noisy, but luxy felt a lot calmer and much more like a professional environment. also all the techs are very attentive. like during my appt, i noticed the girl at the front desk had stepped away for just a moment (probably to make a cappuccino for a client bc they do that there and they’re delicious!), and someone had walked in, and like three ladies stood to try and go greet them while someone else went to get the front desk girl. highly recommend booking in! 🩷🫶🏻 (1st photo are my natural nails and then 2nd and 3rd are right after both appts - look at the cuticle work!!!) —— 7/22/25 update: still going regularly and still loving it! i changed techs early in 2025 due to scheduling, and oksana is also fantastic and would recommend her to anyone 🫶🏻 she’s so kind and really gentle when working on your nails.
Ive been going to this nail salon for about 2 years now, and I cannot say enough nice things! Each technician is professional, so sweet, and incredible at their craft! I haven’t had a bad experience once. I originally started going here because I felt like the typical gel manicures at your average salons were not worth it. They would chip within the week I got them and my nails felt awful when getting the gel removed. With the Russian manicure and pedicure, that is no longer an issue. They last and my nails don’t feel brittle after removal. Definitely worth every penny!!
I absolutely love this nail salon! I’ve been coming here since May 2020, and the picture below with the different shades of pink shows my very first manicure at Luxy. I used to bite my nails and pick at my cuticles, but look at them now—five years later, in red and light pink! I can’t say enough great things about this salon. Every technician is incredibly talented, and today, I had my manicure done by Oksana—she was amazing! She gave me the most flawless manicure that will easily last 3+ weeks. I highly recommend this salon! The staff is exceptional, and the manager, Maryna, goes above and beyond to ensure an outstanding experience. Thank you Luxy Team!
