I booked in for an MOT and service. Dropped the car off at 11:30 they told me it'd be 2-3 hours and they'd call if there were any issues. I called at 12:45 to check on their progress and they told me that they have my number and they'll call when there was any update. I called at 14:45 to check again and they said they'd give me a call by 18:00. I explained that they said it would be up to 3 hours and that time had already passed. I explained that I needed my car back by 16:00 they asked why I didn't tell them that. I said that I was told they would be finished by 14:30 so why would I say that I needed it back at 16:00. They were not very helpful. In the end I got my car back just before 16:00 but it wasn't an enjoyable experience. I will not use them again.
I’m very disappointed with the service I received here. Our car’s serpentine belt broke while we were on holiday, and instead of helping us clearly, the mechanic gave us several different explanations that didn’t make sense and caused a lot of stress. First, he quoted £216 to repair the belt and tensioner, which seemed reasonable. Later, he called back and said he couldn’t do it and that he would need to “open the engine,” costing around £800 and taking a week. That didn’t sound right, so we told him not to continue. After that, he suddenly changed his story again and said he could replace just the serpentine belt for £150 and that the car “should run,” even though earlier he told us that changing only the belt wouldn’t allow the car to drive for more than 30 minutes. In the end, he did replace the belt, and the car ran perfectly for days — including a 5-hour drive from Manchester back to Kent — with no issues at all. This makes it clear that the expensive repair he tried to push was unnecessary. The constant changing of information and prices ruined part of our holiday and made us feel like we couldn’t trust what we were being told. Very disappointing experience, and I would not return to this garage.Especially if you don’t know much about the car they will try to scam you.
I chose this garage because their rating seemed okay and they’re open on weekends, which was convenient since I need my car for work during the week. I called on a Saturday and spoke to someone who said my car had several issues and that if I didn’t get them fixed, it would be unsafe to drive — even claiming the police could stop me on the motorway. They said they’d send me a quote on Monday. On Monday, they called back and quoted me over £500 for two issues. My partner called around other garages and got quotes for under £200 for the same repairs. After that, they kept calling me asking if I wanted to go ahead with the work. I was in a meeting, so my colleague (who knows about cars) answered the phone for me. Suddenly, they changed their story — saying the MOT had passed, but that the mechanic just recommended fixing those parts to prevent future issues. That was completely different from what they’d told me earlier about the car being unsafe to drive. Later, when I went to pick up my car, they told me the MOT had failed, which totally contradicted what they said to my colleague. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve had with a garage. I got different explanations every time I spoke to them, and the price quote was ridiculous. Avoid this place — they’re not honest and just try to overcharge customers.
Took my car for a M.O.T, it subsequently failed. I asked them to carry out the necessary work for it to pass. They could have done unnecessary to make a few quid, but the garage did the job necessary, without ripping me off for a very good price. Just dropped off my Yaris in the morning, went to work, and by the time I came back, the car was finished to a very high standard. Everyone there is friendly and professional, but Luqman really stood out — he made sure nothing was missed and explained everything clearly. I’d definitely recommend coming here. They don’t waste your time and get straight to the point.
