This was my first experience with acupuncture, and I was honestly pretty nervous at first. But I was dealing with a lot of pain and inflammation and needed to try something different — I’m really glad I did. I’ve been going to Malaya Acupuncture for a few months now, and the care I’ve received has made a big difference in managing my pain, inflammation, and overall nervous system regulation. The space is calm, clean, and grounding. The staff is warm, attentive, and professional. Dr. Emil Velasquez is a thoughtful and skilled practitioner. He takes the time to listen, ask questions, and adjust each session to what’s actually going on. His approach is calm and steady, and I always leave feeling better — physically and mentally. Tania, the office manager, is also wonderful. She’s kind, clear, and incredibly helpful with scheduling and questions, and adds to the peaceful energy of the space. After a few months of treatment, I feel happy to share this positive review so others can benefit from the same high-quality care and support. He played a huge role in helping me overcome chronic ankle pain, along with stress and posture-related issues affecting my back and shoulders. Hi highly recommend Dr. Emil Velasquez of Malaya Acupuncture and Wellness! I sought out Dr. Velasquez based on his stellar reviews for acupuncture treatment, and I have been very very happy with my progress under his care. When I first started seeing Dr. Velasquez my tennis elbow (from playing pickleball) was so painful that I could barely lift a glass of water. After an in-depth intake, Dr. Velasquez was able to target and treat the inflammation in my arm, providing me with immediate and sustained relief from the pain. For the first few weeks I scheduled sessions twice a week, then once a week and now, with full recovery, I am seeing him 1-2 times a month for maintenance. My sessions are also helping me with meditation and relaxation. I am so grateful his expertise and kindness in promoting my healing journey so that I can stay active and fit! Highly recommended!!!

I started getting acupuncture done at Malaya at the behest of my girlfriend who has gotten amazing results from both the acupuncture and the herbs. I was skeptical of acupuncture when I first started but I have now had several instances of the care I received at Malaya help recover from back, foot, and other joint injuries. Emil is very kind and welcoming and always puts me at ease. Cannot recommend enough!

Je suis tellement reconnaissant que mon ami (qui est aussi un acupuncteur doué) m'ait vivement recommandé Emil. J'y vais tous les 10 jours depuis environ quelques mois et je peux dire que je me sens très bien pris en charge, soutenu et en meilleure santé. J'ai mieux dormi, j'ai plus d'énergie et mes troubles intestinaux de longue date semblent appartenir au passé. Le parking est sans stress. Le cabinet est vraiment accueillant, propre et dégage une excellente énergie chaleureuse et amicale. Ses tarifs sont extrêmement raisonnables, surtout compte tenu des excellents soins dont bénéficient ses patients. Emil est vraiment à l'écoute et prend le temps de saisir l'ensemble de mes préoccupations. Ses traitements me laissent, à chaque fois, totalement détendu et calme, sans faute. En plus de traitements complets, il est vraiment engagé à créer la bonne formule à base de plantes en fonction de ce que je ressens et utilise des herbes de très haute qualité qui ont aussi bon goût ! Je suis quand même un nerd des plantes, donc je suis peut-être un peu biaisé sur le goût des herbes. Il est vraiment évident qu'Emil veut le meilleur pour ses patients et va bien au-delà de tout ce que j'ai vécu dans des cliniques communautaires où les praticiens ont l'impression d'être pressés et ne vérifient parfois même pas vos pouls ni votre langue. Je ne peux pas le recommander assez fortement ! C'est une véritable trouvaille et une ressource précieuse pour notre communauté.
