Was our 1st time here... enjoyed the food & service. omelets (5 stars) , sausage sandwich (5 stars) biscuits & gravy (3 stars...gravy was a brown mushroom gravy) .. can get pricey if u build your own omelet! $169 for 4 adults, 2 small kids. Nice atmosphere & servers were very friendly and attentive.

This is my favorite place to go with my friends to have an amazing breakfast, in Oakland! All the flavors are naturals, everything always fresh! 1000% recommend. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Excellent traditional breakfast/lunch/ brunch food! When I frequent restaurants I pay attention to the staff and how well they service their customers! I worked at a restaurant for 10 years in the 80's so I know the work that goes into running a successful restaurant business. Mama's Royal Cafe has top notch staff that are very attentive and courteous! If you want good traditional food with great service then I highly recommend this cafe! Btw, the mocha latte I ordered was better tasting than Starbucks! Just saying.

I'm not a fan. Service wasn't the best. Sat down ordered with a female waitress, food was delivered by a guy who seemed to have taken over for the lady. Found hair in my fruit as soon as he placed it down. He took it back, and no apology replaced it with some fruit that looked like it sat out for a while. Food lacked flavor. When we paid, the guy charged us the wrong bill. Again, no apology, nothing. Won't be back!

Fun little hole in the wall. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was decent, but could use more seasoning. Lots of menu options, including vegetarian and vegan options. Atmosphere has an old school diner vibe.
