I cannot say enough great things about Mark Murphy's Music. As a "mom" who wanted a second act, I went back to school to learn how to play acoustic guitar. All of the instructors are incredible musicians, wonderfully patient teachers and so talented. Reed & Ray taught me so much and it was all around, a really positive experience. Lastly, Zenobia and Laura who run the studio are super sweet, well organized and very responsive!
Both of my children took lessons at Mark Murphy’s Music studio for years. The kids loved the lessons and their teachers. A couple of years ago, I decided to take music lessons again, which was something I had always said I would do in the future. I finally called the studio and found out they also give lessons, of all levels, to adults. I decided to take piano lessons, and was matched up with Campbell who is an excellent teacher. He’s trained as a jazz pianist and is able to instruct me as a beginner. He’s supportive and encouraging and I find myself inspired to practice regularly after work. I mentioned that I had played flute since elementary school through college but only sparingly over the past years while the kids were growing up. Zenobia, mentioned they had a wonderful flute instructor as well. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to brush up on my flute playing. Dario, the flute teacher, is just as supportive and encouraging and inspiring in our lessons. I look forward to every piano and flute lesson every week!
I've been a big fan of Mark Murphy's Music for years! The staff and entire vibe of the studio is warm, friendly, and welcoming. It's so much more than a school; it's a community of fantastic talented people dedicated to the joy of sharing and teaching music. My son had an excellent drum teacher in Goh and when he was ready to try something new, I jumped in to take drum lessons for myself! I've learned so much going here and only wish I had more time to practice! I've always appreciated how everyone at MMM sincerely strives to ensure you have a positive and rewarding experience (and if you're a parent, teachers make sure to check in with you and review the ideas discussed your child's lesson). Can't say enough great things about this awesome studio and their fantastic staff!
Our daughter has been taking voice and piano lessons at Mark Murphy's Music for close to 7 years - including virtually during covid. I can't say enough great things about the teachers at MMM and the trust we've put in them to help grow our daughter's love for music. They are so dedicated to their craft and understand how to bring that to life with their students. The showcases Mark and his team put on so the families can see the amazing progress of their kids is the cherry on top!
My daughter has been taking lessons at Mark Murphy's Music for almost 6 years and she's had a wonderful experience! She began on piano and then switched to bass guitar and she has had a great experience with every instructor she's had, including Mark himself. She has progressed very well in her playing skills and I would highly recommend MMM to any parent looking to make music a part of their child's life!
