I’ve been a client of Mark Sherman CPA in Las Vegas for many years, and every tax season has been completely stress-free! I thought based on the positive reviews that I would be in good hands with this company, especially given that the “service” was $500. Unfortunately, the negative reviews are consistent with what I experienced. The preparer was seemingly negligent when filing my 2024 taxes, it took months for them to resolve the problem, and I was met with many excuses. When it appeared that our taxes would not be filed by April 15, 2025, I called their office and was told to pay the IRS an ‘estimated’ amount of taxes owed so that I would not owe interest. I had no problem doing this. I gave the CPA all of the information regarding the payment I made to the IRS and they told me it would be included in the return. It was not. I received multiple letters from the IRS telling me that I still owed them money, plus interest, and that they can move to seize my bank account. I reached out to Mark Sherman’s office the day I received the first letter from the IRS and was told not to worry; that the letter was incorrect. I then received another letter from the IRS about a month later stating the same thing. When I reached out to Mark Sherman’s office asking why this had not been resolved, I was met with excuses. Eventually, the situation was resolved, but with more time and effort on my part than had I just prepared my taxes myself on TurboTax for a fraction of the cost. The only reason I’m posting this review is because their office just sent me paperwork to fill out for them to complete my 2025 tax return. NO THANK YOU.
This review should have been done a long time ago. Mark Sherman CPA has been excellent the past several years. I would like to thank the entire team and especially Samantha who I've dealt with each year.
This is my second year using mark to prepare my taxes. I find it a pleasure to deal with someone who is competent and friendly. In fact , the whole office is very friendly. I'll be back again next year. Thank you Mark 😊
