The best tutoring in town and worth every penny! Our child loves to come to tutoring! All of the tutors are wonderful and make learning fun. They have identified any learning challenges and help my child learn and gain confidence. I can’t thank you all enough!

Wow! I don’t even know if words can express my gratitude for Ms. Tina, Ms. Marisa, and the entire team at Marmalade skies! Back at the end of January when I pulled my son from public school I really wasn’t sure if he would ever learn to read and write because the school had told me it was a strong possibility given his multiple diagnosis. Given the statistics for success amongst the illiterate population I was absolutely terrified. The school he was attending had ambushed me with what I was told was an IEP meeting but they had the head of the special ed department there to surprise me with a heart breaking ultimatum. They all ganged up and told me my son HAD to go to a self contained classroom on another campus effective immediately (this is illegal without due process but of course they took advantage of the fact that I was alone and unaware of this at the time.) Me against a room of ten intimidating professionals telling me my baby’s a lost cause. That he wouldn’t fit in their box and needed to be tucked away out of sight as not to “bother” other students. Yes, in 2023 this still is happening! I asked them what percentage of the time he would be around his neurotypical peers and they said ZERO, not even recess or specials unless he “earns” it. I sobbed! Earn his God given right to inclusion despite his disability?! Yes, they said. His second grade teacher commented at this meeting that she thinks he “chooses to misbehave because he enjoys the attention”. I said he is seven and autistic…why would anyone chose to embarrass themselves by hiding under tables, crying, running away etc in front of their peers? In my opinion children who can do well, do. They just need the support, accommodations and skill building to get there! Something this school was unwilling and apparently unable to do. Then I walked away from that ableist hell scape in tears, never to look back! We embarked on this homeschooling journey completely unprepared and both very emotionally beat down. My sons self esteem and confidence in his own abilities was rock bottom before we found Marmalade Skies. He was absolutely traumatized by his public school experience and wanted nothing to do with even holding a pencil again. I personally felt maybe I had failed as parent. Thanks to you guys at Marmalade Skies he actually WANTS to learn now! He is making great progress on his quarterly reports and is reading often at home! I’m so glad we found these guys. If you are needing not only tutoring but support from a group of women who actually get neurodiversity, this is your place! You will not regret it.
