I went here for Christmas dinner. It was amazing. The prime rib was a perfect medium rare, and had a nice crust. The Bisque was something I had never had before and had a nice touch. The carrot cake was a little crunchy. It tasted as it the carrots weren't freshly grated. Otherwise, everything was spectacular. I can't wait to go back for new years eve and try the elk. Update: the menu on the website had none of the entrees as the in person menu for new years eve. I was all excited for the elk with pierogis and they didn't have it. What I had was amazing, but I feel like it wouldn't have compared to their offerings online, especially for $125. I tried both of the menus and Christmas dinner was definitely better in my book. The lobster Bisque was brown and not orange which was different for me and it didn't exude lobster flavor.
Mason Street Grill is our go-to higher end steakhouse. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the apps/sides are amazing as well. Highly recommend. Cocktails are delicious and strong. Wine selection is great, they had some nice Chateauneuf du Pape on hand that I also enjoyed. Great service very accommodating to people from out of town. Anytime I return to Milwaukee this will be my go to spot. The filet is my favorite with a great bearnaise sauce.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mason Street Grill, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. For the appetizer we ordered the clams which was a phenomenal choice best appetizer. The twin filet medallions were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend ordering them medium-well—the tenderness paired beautifully with the rich Madeira sauce. The duck foie gras, served atop a crisp piece of bread, was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The 64-hour braised short rib was a true delicacy. It was incredibly tender and full of depth. For those sensitive to heat, I suggest removing the dried spiral peppers, as they do add a touch of spice, but otherwise, this dish is a 10/10. The Delmonico potatoes were outstanding creamy, flavorful, and undeniably addictive. This is easily one of the best side dishes I’ve ever had, and I would recommend it to anyone dining here. On the other hand, the MKE Mac & Cheese was the only disappointment of the evening. The cheese blend didn’t quite harmonize and left the dish tasting grainy and lacking flavor. I personally would love to see it reimagined with a three-cheese combination such as feta, Parmesan, and mozzarella. For cocktails, the Road Mai Tai stood out as the perfect pairing with steak. Balanced and refreshing, the flavors of orange curaçao and lime juice shone through, while the toasted macadamia offered a subtle nutty finish. It was easily the best drink on the menu. As it was my birthday, I was treated to a complimentary mousse bomb, which was rich, creamy, and deeply chocolatey. Garnished with fresh raspberries and a milk chocolate “Happy Birthday” sign, it was a delightful touch that made the celebration feel extra special. Lastly, the carrot cake deserves its own praise. Fluffy, moist, and full of flavor, it tasted unmistakably homemade. The cream cheese frosting was silky smooth, and the warm notes of cinnamon tied it all together. This is, without question, the best dessert on their menu. Our server, Tyler, was fantastic. He checked on us often, was attentive without being intrusive, and made sure everything about our visit was seamless. His service elevated the experience even further. Overall, Mason Street Grill delivered an outstanding dining experience with a few unforgettable highlights. I would gladly return for the filet medallions, short rib, Delmonico potatoes, and carrot cake alone.
Possibly the best meal I have ever had. Everything about this place was amazing. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. And the steak... I have never had steak that tendor in my life. It legit melts on your tongue. The sauce was amazing, just this place is great. I use to be a chef, and I can tell they're on their game. I don't think I've ever seen a crew so calm and on point.
This place never disappoints. We were in town for the Harley-Davidson Homecoming festival and we walked over for some steaks after the show. Aiden was our server and he made our dining experience once of the best in a long time. He was very personable, cracked some jokes and played along, and was very attentive to anything we needed. The steaks were spot on, the ambiance was great, and we were glad we checked this place out again. 10/10 would recommend Also…try the chocolate cake…
