A true five star experience. I was so nervous to bring my rescue for his first groom and Abby immediately put me at ease. Every single step of the process was transparent, from the complimentary consultation onward. Theo was immediately comfortable with Lauren, who did a phenomenal job finding the Scottie under 10 months worth of fur! Communication throughout was unparalleled. For me, not having to leave my dog at a groomer for six plus hours, wondering how they’re doing and struggling to get in touch to figure out when they might be done, is of the utmost importance. Masterpiece is the only groomer in the area that assuages these concerns. It’s clear that Abby, Lauren, and the rest of the team take a lot of pride in what they do and truly have the best interest of the dogs in mind. Thank you all for making Theo’s first groom such a positive one! To address a concern in other reviews—I believe, sincerely, the pricing at Masterpiece is extremely reasonable for the services provided. I have yet to find another groomer in the DMV that provides a dedicated appointment time to one dog, texts questions and concerns immediately, and can also expertly craft a breed standard cut. You get what you pay for, and if you want personalized attention and professional quality, this is the price!

I was hesitant at first to take my pup to a groomer because she gets very stressed around loud noises and cages. Masterpiece Canine Spa was a total game-changer for us. The "express service" model they use means there is no waiting around in a crate—my dog goes straight to the stylist and comes straight back to me. They handled my puppy with care and was incredibly patient and gentle. You can tell they actually care about the dog's emotional state, not just the haircut. My pet came out looking fantastic and, more importantly, wasn't shaking or terrified. It is definitely on the pricier side, but for the peace of mind and the one-on-one attention is so important and I won't go anywhere else. Great job !!!

Absolutely amazing experience start to finish. My pup was terrified to go in and by the time he left he didn’t want to leave. The team sent me updates throughout and my dog came out looking happy and feeling great!

On my first visit to Masterpiece, I had a wonderful experience taking my two fur babies, Ginger and Canelo, for their regular haircuts. After waiting an hour, I was very eager to see them with their new haircuts, and they looked adorable. They take excellent care of them, which is essential for them to return happy. The staff is very friendly, they offer coffee in the waiting area while you wait for your pups, and importantly, they speak both Spanish and English.

We have been going to Masterpiece for 2 1/2 years, since they were right down the road, and loved them so much we drove 20 minutes across town to follow them. They let our excited and overbearing German Shepherd come first thing in the morning to ease GSD anxiety and always texted us if there was a concern - which there never were (our pup just likes to pull towards other dogs to play and sing during his grooms:) We never had issues with a grooming product, cut, gland expression, etc. Case always was more than willing to be taken back. We will miss them so much!
