Matte Blvck was near my hotel. I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a go. Got a cut and a hot towel service from Rafeal. First, he was super personable. Gave me tips on restaurants, streetwear stores and other places to check out. Second, he gave me a great cut. 5-star experience and highly recommend.
I came in here for a last minute haircut on New Year's Eve - Michael was able to see me on short notice he was a great barber took 5 minutes to go over my hair style to determine what I really wanted to get cut, and I trusted him and he did an amazing job I now have been coming to Matte Blvck ever since with Michael as my main barber
Michael has been my go to barber for years. He has always been precise with all of this tapers, fades, and line ups. Stop by and if you are visiting SD and make the switch to Michael if you are a local. The shop also always makes you feel like you are at home and plays the best music!
I’ve been getting my hair cut here for a while now, and every time, it’s a great experience. Sergio’s been to one I’ve been going to and he always pays attention to detail. He listens to what I want and make sure I leave with a fresh, clean cut every time. The shop has a great atmosphere, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommend!
So many talented barbers available. You can schedule appointments online. It’s a clean and welcoming environment and I’ve never had a problem finding parking.
