I had a consultation with Cass for my short hair (about two inches on top and in the back, where I planned on having a mohawk done). Instead of giving me a realistic or professional styling plan, she suggested something that made zero sense — essentially a mullet, with extensions only in the back and nothing up front. That would look absurd on anyone. It came across as careless and unserious, like she had no regard for how I would actually look walking out of the salon. I left feeling like she was willing to turn me into a joke rather than give me a practical, wearable hairstyle. She also did not ask any other stylists if they could do something along the lines I was looking for. I do not recommend her
Well... I was introduced to Monique from a girlfriend at the GYM. Actually.... It was my ice breaker line with her, I said "Gurlllll, who is cutting your hair?" Since then - I've only had Monique and MCL touch my hair. Mmmm her new space is amazing, I can get coffee, she makes custom coffee with her logo super cute, and we get to gossip while she goes to town on my head. As a guy and construction worker that doesn't woman keeping me in line - Monique is awesome steward of my beautiful scalp. Especially, when she makes sure I use better product like Kevin Murphy instead of the whatever I get at Target. Much appreciated and see you soon!
Monique is simply the best in the business. I have thin (low density, high porosity) 3a curls, my sister has thick 3c curls, and my girlfriend has thick straight hair. Monique gives each of us a perfect cut that stays looking fresh for months and grows out beautifully. She's incredibly patient and attentive, making sure that you get exactly the style you want. The salon itself is also wonderfully luxurious, with a genuine warmth and coziness. I could not recommend MCL more!
