In the early fall of 2019 while driving home from church on a Sunday morning, I heard a Melia Advisory Group commercial on the radio. I was intrigued and after discussing with my husband, I made an appointment for our free financial analysis. Greg was personable and enthusiastic about his way of navigating retirement accounts to create income. He carefully explained using a whiteboard, how he invests for interest and dividends. He made it clear that success isn’t measured on the fluctuating value of accounts based on the current market, but on how much interest and dividends they are yielding. He used the analogy of keeping our farmland, while eating only the crops they yield or keeping our chickens, and eating only the eggs they lay to say in essence, … we are holding onto our principle, but using the interest and dividends. Fast forward six years later, he is still reiterating that same principle at our every annual or semi annual review of our accounts. We are happy with the income that has been generated and it gives me peace. There has not been a single day that I have regretted our decision. I am confident we made the right one and have shared our thoughts with friends that are in need of financial management. I will continue to do so.
