Just had Melly Mel's for a work retreat and EVERYONE was raving about it. The food was incredible. I cannot wait to be back in Madison - Melly Mel's is going to be a staple for me!
They catered our wedding and it was absolutely phenomenal if you are looking for a caterer look no further stop what you are doing and give them a call they are very kind arrived on time got everything set up neatly and the display looks like it was for royalty it was very very good. You HAVE TO try the yams..
Mel is absolutely wonderful to work with! She has an amazing family and staff team who catered our wedding, and the food was DELICIOUS. We had so many guests raving about how good the food was, and how well they set up and included serving. Our main courses were the vegetable lasagna and bourbon brown sugar chicken, which we absolutely loved. Our catering option also included a bunch of sides, and there was plenty of food for our guests. Thank you, Melly Mel's!
When I got married a few years ago, I called up Melly Mel's for the perfect wedding feast. We didn't have a cake, but we had delicious banana pudding, which is the superior choice (along with fried chicken, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and corn bread!). Every time I see them at an event (Night Market, Taste of Madison, etc) I always find them! The Mac and cheese is my favorite in town (even better than McGee's which is high praise). We had some very excellent catfish at the Night Market tonight. Can't wait for the next time already!
Amazing! I ate at Melly Mel’s when they had a storefront in 2012 when I was visiting from Iowa and never stopped thinking about it. Fast forward to today, I knew she was only doing catering, but a few weeks ago I reached out to her and asked if she would let me order a feast for my new husband and I to enjoy in our hotel room while in town for our honeymoon, and she kindly obliged. Carmell is so kind and I wish her the best in everything she does. Her food is incredible and you can really taste all the love she puts into what she does. Thank you so much for giving us this special meal!
