IMHO: other antique stores in the area don’t even come close to Metcalf Antique Mall. Not only will you find a more artfully-selected curation of things here versus other antique stores but staff is absolutely wonderful. Especially the owner, who personally assists customers throughout the store and is so helpful. Overall atmosphere is positive energy. I try not to go elsewhere
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Treasure Hunter’s Dream Come True! How have I not written a review for this place yet?! I’ve been coming to Metcalf Antique Mall for a while now, and there is truly something for everyone! Even my kids look forward to coming here with me — which says a lot! Every visit feels like a new adventure. Whether it’s a quick weekday stop or a weekend stroll, I always find fresh treasures and unique pieces. The booths are constantly adding new items, and the seasonal displays keep things festive and fun all year long. The staff is absolutely wonderful — friendly, helpful, and always on the move. They’ll gladly carry your finds to the counter so you can keep exploring or help unlock display cases when something special catches your eye. They’ve even helped load larger items in my truck. This is service!! I also love how open and airy the space feels. The high ceilings and wide aisles make it easy to wander (and wonder!) for hours. From floor to ceiling, there are hidden gems everywhere you look — I’ve decorated both my home and office with pieces from here. If you love a good treasure hunt, this is the spot in the Kansas City metro area. Come ready to explore, get inspired, and maybe even find that perfect piece you didn’t know you were looking for.
Employees are rude and they follow you around the store. My husband, daughter and I came in today and were very obviously followed the entire time. I understand wanting to catch thieves but my goodness, making your paying customers feel uncomfortable is bad business. I ended up spending over $300 today only because I found something I’ve been looking for. Once I got to the counter to pay for my items the employees (4 women and a man) were so rude. Needless to say we will not be back. I will shop for antiques somewhere else.
Clean, open, antique mall, with a ton of beautiful and interesting things. Vibrant, fun place to find unique furniture, art, and oddities. It's like a European curiosity shop, complete with taxidermy. It's also very fair to their vendors helping to keep prices competitive.
The newest antique mall in the area has filled up with high end dealers fast! No junk just fine antiques as well as beautiful and eclectic art. Easy to find with plenty of parking I am sure to return soon to check out the constantly changing inventory. The princess and I enjoyed the piano player as it set the tone and created a relaxed environment. Strongly recommend.
