Located in the Riverview section of Norfork, a real nice part of town. I've been eating here since they were a little hole in the wall over by ODU. The food is consistently great, the service, atmosphere and prices are always good. The menu is extensive with lots of food and price options. My friends get tired of me always suggesting this place to eat but they are always happy when we get our food.
I really don't know what to say here. This is one of my old favorite places from going to ODU and it's a lot prettier inside now but the food is horrible and the service is bad.. or slow... Inattentive I guess is the correct word. Our waitress just kept floating off and doing nothing and wandering around the restaurant not helping anybody but the headline here is the food. The food is just absolutely horrendous not up to today's standards at all. For contacts you should know that I normally go to La parrilla, but I've been coming to Mi hogar since I was a teenager. It was never this bad. Granted I may have had a few drinks but it was never this bad
I’m new ordering on DoorDash from this restaurant. I got the oxtail soup and a three hard tacos with beef with ground beef first of all that I still soup is very deceptive. I open up the cup. I noticed I had three little pieces of ice tails and the rest was filled with some type of Boneless dry meat look like boiled pot roast. It wasn’t even all tails. The taco shells was burnt. I couldn’t even eat it. I just ate the ground beef and lettuce by itself never again. I don’t know what all the hype is about when it comes to reviews for this restaurant the food is disgusting. The only thing that was kind of decent was the little ice still that I did get was tender, but that the food is laying and flavorless!!! They will not receive my money again
Very mediocre and middle of the road Mexican food. We got the beef fajitas, taco salad, and chicken dish. It was decent. And atmosphere was fine. Service was definitely 5 stars — the waitress checked on us frequently and brought us our food quickly. When one of us left our phone, they brought it out to our car when we were leaving. They started us out with chips and salsa which is always a win. Price point was low to medium (~16-23 dollars a dish)
Ok I don’t leave reviews often but i have got to for this place esp through Uber eats it’s always a miss. This place went above and beyond from packaging to adding chips and salsa and all the condiments. I’m having a pity party over here missing my deployed spouse and eating my feelings away. I am so glad i found this place! Just look at the photos!!! And the prices are so decent!!! 😂 ignore my vacuum i was using it to prop my chips.
