0 Stars: Hostile, Vulgar, and Completely Unprofessional I have never experienced such blatant aggression and disrespect at a business in my life. If you are considering visiting Middleton Sport Bowl—especially if you have CHILDREN—I strongly urge you to reconsider. The "Service" Experience The interaction started when I asked a simple, standard question about whether the French fries were gluten-free (a common dietary concern). The bartender’s response was immediate hostility: "They are fing potatoes, how should I know?"* When I calmly asked him to check with the chef to be certain, he continued to swear at me. After "checking," he returned to inform me that even the chef "doesn't fing know."* I chose to diffuse the situation by walking away, hoping to just finish my night in peace. Continued Harassment Unfortunately, I had to encounter the same individual again when paying for bowling. Instead of a professional conclusion to the transaction, the abuse and swearing started all over again. It is clear that this staff member has zero regard for basic human decency, let alone customer service. Lack of Accountability When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no manager was on-site. While two other staff members were kind enough to acknowledge that I was being treated poorly and promised to notify management, the damage was done. Reading through other reviews, it’s clear that this toxic environment isn't an isolated incident. This is not a family-friendly establishment. If management allows staff to scream profanities at customers over simple menu questions, they do not deserve your business. Avoid this place at all costs.
Pretty nice place for bowling and food! There are always different weighted balls available, and a staff member is almost always at the front desk to be able to help you if there's malfunction. The food is incredible, there's a bar and grill that seems perfect. The only issues I have are the bowling lane technology is very buggy but otherwise a good experience with friends.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Witnessed Cody, the bartender, being very disrespectful to customers. Mentioned it to the manager and the manager did nothing. If these are the kind of people they employ, I will not be back
Decided to try a new bowling ally and boy oh boy do I regret it. It was odd right away. Both staff members were clearly drunk. One couldn't even walk without falling over. The other was just upset his coworker wasn't gonna help him close. I helped this older woman up and asked him for help. He decided to get mad and have a tantrum. I paid for my bowling and left. There are too many other bothersome details to list. Unlikely to visit again.
If you go in with appropriate expectations you’ll be set! Very rural/up north small town feel. Good beer selection of local places. Staff is efficient and helpful. Food was your average bar food. Found the onion rings a bit under fried, and walleye sandwich slightly in the bland side. The crisped bread it was served on had more flavor. Myope spot to go bowl.
