Went today and did not have a great experience with the staff. Like the other recent reviews, out room was run down and dirty. The worst part was the rude interaction at the beginning that stayed with me the whole time I was there.

Honestly this experience was really really poor today. There was a staff member who didn’t show up and we started 30 minutes late but that was remedied with a discounted rate, however the rooms were in very poor condition. They were dirty and run down, the locks wouldn’t work without aggressive force that we didn’t do but had the escape room do. To his credit he did his best to provide a good experience and he did an amazing job at helping us out. We were just dissatisfied with the poorly operating escape room. Things were mostly broken and didn’t work. It wasn’t super kid friendly either. We did the Candyland room with family visiting from out of town and two kids- we left disappointed after driving and waiting for it to open to play. I would highly recommend checking out Game On Escape Room in Cary instead. It’s so much nicer!

We came to Mission X this afternoon and were disappointed. First off, it was FREEZING cold inside the building(and I’m cold natured). The rooms were quite dirty and several tripping hazards. In the Hurricane room the flooring has detached in one room causing a major tripping hazard, the props were not clean looking and felt dirty. Although, the people we went with made it fun and the staff lady was helpful. Also, the bathroom definitely needed major cleaning!

I have been to Mission X twice now, and both times have been disappointing. The two rooms I have done have both needed cleaning and have clear wear and tear along with dirt and "stuff" on the floors that just makes it all look cheap and uninviting. Our games master both times, a guy with glasses, seems to take no delight in having to help people or work with people. We lost ten minutes on the most recent room because of the equipment in the Candy land room not working properly. We lost time again in another room due to equipment not being on for the game for us to use it. The front lobby and desk also need a thorough cleaning and straightening up. It just looks sloppy. I do not have any interest in going back to try the other rooms at this point. Both rooms have no sense of direction or purpose. Every puzzle feels like a series of disconnected events with no clear through line or connective tissue. Our host seemed annoyed whenever we asked for a hint, and we only asked for hints really because we couldn't understand why nothing was working when we had clearly solved it and it turned out to be equipment failure. Spend your money elsewhere

I came to this escape room during a work trip for a team bonding experience, and honestly, the experience was disappointing. That was mainly because of how we were treated and the condition of the room itself. When I first arrived, I asked the front desk staff what I thought was a simple, lighthearted question: “What kind of people usually do well in escape rooms?” He immediately rolled his eyes, sighed, and said, “Ma’am, I’m not going to answer that question.” I was genuinely taken aback, thinking maybe he misunderstood me, so I restated it. He repeated the same response. A few minutes later, when my coworkers came in, he tried to strike up a conversation by saying that date nights are the worst because men try to prove how smart they are. I entertained the conversation out of politeness, but the whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. My team did the Hurricane Room, which ended up feeling neglected and unkept. There was actual water on the floor, not as part of the design, and the space felt dingy and rundown. Several of the props were not working, and the staff continued to be passive and short with others on my team as well. This could have been a fun and memorable team experience, but the lack of professionalism and poor upkeep made it fall flat. With better customer service and more attention to detail, this place could really improve.
