My daughter has been dancing at Monona Academy of Dance for the past three years. I have been super impressed with how she has grown as a dancer. The teachers do a great job of creating a balance between having discipline to be a great dancer and having fun. She has gained a ton of confidence and loves going to class. The end of the year recitals are very professional and enjoyable. I’m so happy we found this studio.

It was quite some time ago when my daughter participated in dance classes at that establishment. I ultimately decided to withdraw her and enroll her in a different dance school due to an incident involving the owner, JoJean, and one of the dance instructors, which deeply affected my daughter's emotions. At the tender age of seven, it was particularly challenging for her, and for me as well. The incident occurred during the Christmas season when they were staging the Nutcracker. My daughter had a choir performance prior to the Nutcracker show, which caused her to arrive late. Nevertheless, we managed to reach the venue before the performance commenced, and my daughter was dressed and prepared to take the stage. Unfortunately, JoJean and the instructor denied her the opportunity to perform, assigning her role to another dancer simply because she arrived later than their expectations. My daughter was devastated as she watched her peers take the stage, and I felt a profound disappointment at not being able to witness her performance after all her hard work. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, JoJean made a remark that further hurt both my daughter and me. She said, “too bad and sorry you were late!” However, my daughter was not late; the show had not yet begun. Her behavior was exceedingly unkind. Even now, as my daughter has grown, she still recalls that night when she was prevented from performing, despite the fees I had paid for her classes. Frankly, JoJean should have refunded us for the class fees. In conclusion, I would prefer to invest in another dance school where the instructors genuinely care for and nurture their students. No child should endure such humiliation, especially during their formative years. Dance schools should strive to provide positive experiences that foster a love for dance. The actions taken by JoJean and her staff have left an indelible negative impression on both my daughter and me. During my daughter's time at that school, I also heard reports of children being yelled at, so I was not surprised to see a review indicating that the owner and instructors had yelled at another child.

Mes filles ont appris beaucoup plus en une seule leçon qu'au cours des deux années d'études précédentes. Le propriétaire était merveilleux et nous saluait toujours avec le sourire ! Mes filles ont été enseignées avec une grande patience et de la gentillesse. Le contrat était équitable et les tarifs très raisonnables. Les récitals ont été réalisés de manière professionnelle et ont inspiré mes filles à les regarder. Tous les enseignants et le personnel ont été serviables et ce fut un plaisir de travailler avec eux !

C'est un studio qui met l'accent sur l'opportunité pour les étudiants de se produire dans une variété de styles et de lieux. Tout cela avec qualité et classe. J'ai moi-même dansé dans ce studio il y a des années et ce que cela m'a donné m'a ouvert de nombreuses portes pour danser partout aux États-Unis. Je connais aussi la nature compétitive du monde de la danse et ce studio fait un excellent travail en donnant aux étudiants la technique et l'avantage dont ils ont besoin s'ils veulent poursuivre une carrière dans la danse. Ma fille adore cet endroit et se sent « chez elle » lorsqu'elle entre. Félicitations pour le nouveau Studio !

Les professeurs étaient géniaux. Ma fille a dansé avec eux pendant plus de 5 ans et le propriétaire a fait promesse après promesse à ma fille pour ensuite changer d'avis ou retirer l'accès au programme intensif d'été parce que je n'arrivais pas à payer. Je n'en pouvais plus et j'ai quitté les lieux.
