We started with Moonlight Daycare when our son was 9 months old, and now at 19 months, Ms. Mattie truly feels like family to us. She is incredibly kind, caring, and loving. Every morning, our son gets excited to see her and reaches out for her as soon as we arrive, which says everything. We’ve seen such a positive change in our son personality as well in her daycare. When he first started, he was a bit shy, but now he’s a happy, social, and confident toddler who feels comfortable in new environments. She really supports not just the kid’s care, but also their development and independence. Ms. Mattie also has a very thoughtful, education-based approach in how she interacts with the kids, using positive reinforcement and encouragement to help them learn and grow. She pays close attention to their feeding, learning, and daily needs, and always keeps us updated if anything comes up. We feel very lucky to have found her. She is also extremely reliable, which means so much to us as parents. We truly couldn’t ask for a better caregiver. THANK YOU!

Moonlight Daycare is truly one of a kind. From the moment we met Ms. Mattie, we were impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming her home was. But what truly makes Moonlight Daycare special is Ms. Mattie. She is an absolute gem. She is so positive, gentle, and full of love for every child in her care. Our son has been with Ms. Mattie for two years, starting with her when he was just 10 months old. Throughout that time it was so clear that she genuinely enjoys what she does. I felt as though my son was being taken care of by a family member, more than just a daycare. Ms. Mattie is also truly an educator, and engages kids in learning through play, while also helping them become thoughtful, respectful, and helpful toward one another. We are so sad that our son is aging out of Moonlight Daycare, but we are so happy to have found Ms. Mattie and would recommend her to anyone needing full time daycare.

I'm so grateful I found Moonlight Daycare. I had just moved to Rancho Penasquitos and I was searching for a high quality daycare. Moonlight Daycare is exactly that! The owner's name is Mattie, and she is such a dedicated caregiver. Mattie is so caring, warm, organized, experienced, thoughtful, and observant. I felt comfortable with her as soon as I met her! I know she is paying close attention to my daughter because she gives me very specific advice about her development. She taught my daughter how to hold her own milk bottle and how to properly chew food! She isn’t just "watching" my daughter, she helps her reach developmental milestones, she nurtures her emotional needs, and she maintains an environment for her to feel safe and have fun. She keeps a consistent schedule for the kids' activities such as breakfast, lunch, nap time, snack time, and outdoor time. Mattie's home is beautiful, clean, and safe. She has security cameras outside her home and a smart lock on the front door. She is down the street from the local police station and fire department. I knew Moonlight Daycare was the right fit for my family because there is no caregiver turnover, it's Mattie's business, and she is dedicated to providing excellent care for children. A lot of children stay at Moonlight Daycare until they go to preschool, and that speaks volumes to the quality of care Mattie provides.

We are so grateful to have found Ms. Mattie and for the love and care she has given our son, W. She was fully booked the first time we called and we were excited to enroll our son in Moonlight Daycare after some months. From the very beginning, she created a warm and welcoming space where he felt safe, happy, and excited to learn. We’ve seen such incredible growth in his social, emotional, communication, physical, and cognitive skills. It is clear that Ms. Mattie’s patience, kindness, and dedication have made all the difference. Ms. Mattie's daycare is not only safe and nurturing, but also filled with fun, learning, and laughter. Knowing our son was in her care each day gave us such peace of mind—we truly couldn’t have asked for a better start to his early years. We are sad that our son will no longer attend Moonlight Daycare as we relocate to another state but are very appreciative of the time our son spent with Ms. Mattie and the other kids. Our 2 year old son went to Moonlight Daycare for a little over a year and we absolutely loved it. He really needed help with his social skills and confidence with kids his age and Ms Mattie was so helpful, patient, and kind with our boy. You can tell she loves her daycare kids and has so much expertise and knowledge to share with parents. We are so sad we are moving and having to leave Moonlight Daycare and Ms Mattie, but we are so grateful for the time our son had with her.

Our little one started daycare at 12 months and the experience has been wonderful. Prior to daycare, he hadn’t been exposed to other children, so we were a bit concerned about his social development. But in just a short time, we’ve seen tremendous growth! He is now much more comfortable around other kids and has become less dependent on adults for constant interaction. One of the biggest changes we’ve noticed is how he’s learned to play independently, which is a huge milestone for him. Every time we pick him up, he is happy and clearly well taken care of. It’s such a relief to know that he’s in a nurturing environment where his social and emotional needs are met. We are very pleased with the care provided and highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and positive space for their child.
