Music Mart in Solana Beach is absolutely amazing! I was new to guitar—literally a fresh beginner taking my first lessons—and I had no idea where to start. The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient, guiding me without ever making me feel pressured to buy something I didn’t need. Their selection is fantastic, and they really took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. I ended up with a tailor-made, beautiful acoustic guitar, and I couldn’t be happier. I play it every day, and I constantly get compliments on how stunning it is. If you’re looking for expert guidance, a great selection, and a team that genuinely cares, Music Mart is the place to go. Highly recommend!
If you’re into music at all (whether you're a beginner, a longtime player, or just love the vibe) you have to check out Music Mart in Solana Beach. The staff here is awesome! Super friendly, zero ego, and genuinely excited to help you find exactly what you’re looking for (or just let you explore). You can tell they’re all musicians who know their stuff but also know how to make people feel welcome, not intimidated :) The collection of instruments, especially the guitars, is insane! They’ve got some really unique, rare finds you don’t normally see outside of collector forums or big-city shops. Everything from beautifully aged acoustics to funky vintage electrics and pedals that sound like magic. The space itself has that relaxed, coastal creative energy where you just want to hang out, plug in, and play. Whether you're picking up your first instrument or hunting down something special, this place is a gem. Highly recommend stopping by. It’s not just a store, it’s a vibe!
I cannot recommend this place enough. We stopped in to look for a guitar after trying a big chain store with no luck. We were shocked to find that this small store had such a wide selection of different guitar, ukulele, bass, and drum brands, styles and price points. We were helped by John and Tim who were amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, and not pushy or insistent at all. The whole experience with them was delightful and friendly. While we’re only expecting to browse we ended up making a purchase and not only did the purchase include a nice case, but they also polished the guitar, offered to make any adjustments to the neck, and restrung the guitar with the strings we preferred before we left. Next time I need anything, I will gladly make the drive to come here first even though I live an hour away.
