We are traveling through town and dropped our Great Dane off to spend time outside of a hotel room and he had a great time. Friendly staff and you can tell Mutt island loves their Mutts.
This place is excellent and I highly recommend. We live close and often walk our dog, Lyla. We often walk past Mutt Island and she always wants to go inside. Lyla has stayed for a day, overnight and for an entire week. Every time, the service was great and Lyla was well taken care of. We wouldn't choose any other place to take her.
Traveling with pets is never easy, and in our case it was two! Thankfully, Mutt Island took in our dogs on short notice and cared for them like their own. By the time we picked them up, they were happy, tired, and clearly well looked after. Because of Mutt Island, we got to enjoy our first trip to Memphis totally worry free. We recently moved away from Memphis this summer, and I can truthfully say Mutt Island is one of the places we will miss the most. We began taking our dog, Willett, to Mutt Island when he was 6 months old and for the last four years, he was a regular in daycare and boarding. Stan (the owner) and his staff take the utmost care of the dogs and treated Willett as if he was their own. Willett loved going to Mutt Island. Every time he was dropped off, my wife and I had peace of mind that he was in good hands. The hours are great for busy schedules as they are open from 6a-7p. It is very affordably priced. Stan is accommodating and flexible with boarding. Mutt Island is also excellent in the little things; they have costume parties for halloween, treat bags and pictures on holidays, an instagram page with fun pictures from the day, and fun birthday pictures on your dog's birthday. Even though we originally selected them due to their hours and affordability, it became an absolute blessing to be a part of the Mutt Island Family for four years. I recommended Mutt Island to 2-3 of my colleagues over the years, and they were very pleased with their experience, continuing to use Mutt Island until they moved away as well. I highly recommend Mutt Island to anyone in the Memphis area looking for a daycare/boarding service for their dogs. Your dog will be in great hands. Mutt Island was the perfect place for our two puppies. We came to Tennessee to visit family over the holidays and needed a last minute day care for our pupps so we could visit the Safari. Mutt Island took very good care of our girls and the staff was super friendly. If ever needed again, we would definitely bring our girlies here without a doubt.
