Edited to increase to 4 stars because Leyna, the owner, was able to completely redo all my nails herself and so far the nails have held strong. I am very happy with the redo. The nails are thinner, especially near the cuticle which should help prevent lifting. Leyna did talk with the first nail technician that did my builder gel and briefly retrained her. Both Leyna and the other nail tech were very apologetic and appreciative to have a chance to learn and fix their mistake. Leyna reiterated that making the customer happy is her top priority. (The original nails are the pale pink and the redo is lilac.) Original review: I've visited Nail Trends twice and can say the best part of my experience has been the friendly staff and the availability of technicians. On my second visit, I asked for something a little more durable and was given the hybrid builder gel. The technician listened to what I wanted and gave me a natural nail length and shape. Unfortunately, one nail lifted and popped off just 2 days later. I called and they were able to fit me in quickly and redo the one nail. Unfortunately, just 3 days after that (so five days after the initial application) two different nails popped off, then the next day another one (so, 4 nails in total have lifted and popped in less than a week). I'm very disappointed. If I can get at-home nail stickers and press-on nails to last 15+ days, I would expect a professionally done nail to last at least that long. I don't know if it's the application technique, poorly prepped nails, or the product itself being old, but I'm highly dissatisfied and disappointed at the longevity.
Lovely customer service. Came in with my sisters and they gave us all $5 vouchers for my sister’s birthday. Accommodated all of our designs and were very friendly
Went for the first time yesterday 1/17 for a full set. I was a walk in and they got me in immediately which was great. I do not remember who my nail tech was but he was nice and funny. At one point I did notice my nail was crooked and asked him to fix it and he did but he disagreed with them being crooked. I did get cut a few times and felt like he was kind of rushing through the process which is why I got cut and the shape wasn't consistent. Someone else did the French tip at the bar and the right hand looks better than the left. You can tell the French is not in the middle of the nail especially on the ring and pinky fingers. All in all, they were all pretty nice but I will likely not be back. I also feel like it was expensive for the service.
Cathy did such an amazing job. She was so meticulous and went above and beyond what I ever could of imagined. Definitely my favorite set ive gotten she took her time with the shape and making sure everything was filed and all the extra glue was gone. Leyna the owner was so sweet she took the time to go around and greet everyone and check in on them. They are all very personable and sweet hearts in there. Will definitely be back.
I just got the most beautiful mani I've had in Rva! Chelsea is professional, kind, and has some real skill with the thin art! Definitely will make this spot a regular!
