We cannot say enough good things about Nate. After just one visit, I can confidently say I would have paid his full program price for that session alone. What sets Nate apart is the confidence he instills in you as the owner. He doesn’t just “train your dog” — he teaches you how to lead. The subtle tips and small adjustments he showed us completely shifted the dynamic in our home. We now understand how to stay in control, set clear expectations, and redefine boundaries in a way that feels calm and natural. The amazing part? Once those boundaries were established, every other behavior started falling in line. It wasn’t about tricks or commands — it was about structure and leadership. That clarity changed everything. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Nate is worth every penny and then some.

I just read the book How to train a rescue dog and can confirm that the 3 step process absolutely works. Great book.

I adopted a 10 month old pug chihuahua mix, Tommy, from a rescue and he was severely fearful and could tell he had never been trained. After implementing strategies from Nates book and doing the training sessions he has significantly improved. He's now leash trained and walks by my side, no longer afraid of passing cars & people. He's comfortable with Nate's dogs and has been comfortable with multiple people petting him. Definitely see a difference from the training!

We worked with Nate to help our rescue dog gain confidence, be able to leave the house and go for walks, and tolerate guests when they came over. At first when we brought her home and she was following us around the house we thought it was cute and a sign of affection. Quickly we realized we had a problem when the sweet dog we brought home growled and lunged at our friend when they entered the home. Through Nate's training we learned that her behavior was not showing love but rather showing anxiety and we were able to help her gain confidence by helping her learn her position as her "job" of just being a dog. Instead feeling the need to patrol the house and protect us, she learned she could just chill in her bed and relax. Seeing her peacefully sleeping during the day is the best gift. Second, she never wanted to leave the house and would pull us back toward the house when we tried to walk her. Nate helped us with that the first day and now I walk her 2-3 miles every morning and she loves it. Nose in the air, smelling the smells and happily prancing along. everything came down to confidence and Nate was able to help us help her find that in herself. Thanks Nate!!

Nate has been Amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Nate has been incredible to work with! He helped me understand the psychology behind my dogs in a way no other trainer ever has. On the very first day, I was able to walk both dogs calmly right at my side — something I never thought was possible. He brings several of his own extremely well-trained dogs to support the training, and it makes such a difference. Nate is always available, goes out of his way to make sure you and your dogs are taken care of, and genuinely understands dogs on a deeper level. His approach is so much more than “sit, stay, shake.” It’s real behavior work and mindset training. If you want someone who truly gets dogs, Nate is the trainer you need. He even has a book on Amazon that dives into his methods. Highly recommend.

I found out about Nate through a neighbor only to find out. I know two other people who brought their rescue dogs to him for training. All of them were extremely happy with the work he did with their rescue dogs. I had a cavalier King Charles pup that I am considering training for therapy. He gave me an excellent start with this pup.
