We have been here for lunch before and enjoyed the experience, especially with kids. So we came back here yesterday for bowling with 2 adults and 3 kids. The bowling area is clean and well organized, though $120 seems expensive for an hour of bowling (but we know downtown will always have a premium). The host showed us to our lane and our server introduced herself then mentioned “it’s all day happy hour today” and left us a regular menu + the happy hour menu. We proceeded to bowl and eat / drink. Service was a bit difficult to get (waited 10 mins after requesting service, and my beer took 20 mins due to a new keg, but I get it, we were there at 11:30am right at opening). Tater tots were tasty, as was the guacamole. I’d say everything was 4 stars at this point. The primary reason for the 2 star review: At the end, we asked for the bill and when it came I noticed the prices were not the happy hour so I asked and she said she will go get it fixed. When she came back, she said “oh I’m so sorry it’s actually not happy hour right now, I thought it was Monday”. I admit, the happy hour menu had the days and hours pretty clearly stated but I thought perhaps it was a holiday calendar (we were there on Jan 2). Not wanting to delay, I paid the bill and we left, but as someone who works with customers, I was a bit perplexed as to why we weren’t at least offered a free drink or a lesser % discount to make up for their clear mistake, especially after we spent $200+ on bowling, arcade games, and food. I understand mistakes happen which is why we didn’t make it a bigger deal, but not being offered at least something pretty much solidifies we will never come back again, although we live 10 mins away!

As someone who doesn’t enjoy bowling, I’d say National has changed my mind completely. The music and atmosphere really gets you to enjoy your time here. This is a great spot for a birthday/event. I had a great time and would come again! Btw the guac is so good. Portion sizes are huge.

This place is such a vibe overall, and we had a really fun time here. The arcade area is a bit smaller than we expected, but still has a nice selection of games to keep you entertained. The bowling section is really well done — clean, modern, and spacious enough to enjoy without feeling crowded. The lounge area was one of the highlights for us. The laid-back setup with the purple lighting creates a super chill and cozy atmosphere that sets the mood perfectly. It’s a great spot to relax, talk, and enjoy the night. We ordered nachos and fajitas, and the food was genuinely really good — fresh, flavorful, and well portioned. The only thing that held the experience back a bit was that the service was a little slow at times. It wasn’t terrible, but we did wait longer than expected for a few things. That said, our server Jamel was awesome. He was attentive whenever he came by, super friendly, and very outgoing. You can tell he’s someone who really tries to take care of his tables, and we appreciated that a lot. Overall, it was a great Saturday night spot. A solid 4-star experience, and we’d definitely come back!

Well stumbled upon this gem while at the Well visiting Arcadia Earth. We then walked around, entered the food court and seen National. We had no plans to go for food and drinks but the Happy Hour was too good to pass up. We opted for a couple beers, mixed drinks and guac and chips. All this was like $30. Next time we're back in TO, we plan to spend a bit more time there and maybe try out some bowling or some of the arcade. Very cool spot. Great service too. 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The National has a good sized patio with some good music and even cornball if you feel like playing. Our waiter was really friendly but she needed back up don’t promote a patio if you don’t have the staff to work it.M, all that a side the food was delicious , I had the Yuzu Green Salad to balance my unhealthy eating. It was Wednesday so my company enjoyed the Wheel of Mushrooms pizza because it was half price as well as a bottle of wine which was half price. Decent place for so happy hour specials and good food just need to keep up with their competition.
