NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY - So I dont often post negative reviews. However, I wanted to warn anyone that is handicapped. I recently went in to look for Christmas presents. I walk with a cane and have RA. The woman that was running the store was extremely rude. I was looking at a wine glass and she basically said “that is NOT for someone that could break it”. I looked at her stunned. She went on to back track and said she had another customer inquiring about getting some for their elderly grandmother...and that she told them it was not for an elderly person that could drop them. (These were NOT extremely expensive glasses nor were they any type of art that should not be handled) You can draw your own conclusions. You could say she didnt mean it that way, I can just tell you; She certainly did. I finished my shopping and just left. I did not say anything because honestly I was embarrassed. I just want to prevent anyone else from being treated in this way. I have had a few friends that have told me I should post this story on FB to really shout out to people, but I won’t. I am hopeful that this woman will find it in her heart to have more compassion for people that have any kind of disability in the future
The best shop in town! Sweet and knowledgeable owner who is always willing to help choose the perfect gift (jewelry, unique local art,) or accessory for your home. My go to for everything!
