I was extremely impressed by the service at Newhall hotel, I held a private party for my mother’s 70th birthday on Sunday 18th January 2026. From the planning stage to the event your staff were excellent. Rebecca was extremely helpful, efficient and is a credit to your team. The staff who served us on the evening of our very special party were excellent, friendly ann efficient including Pedro, Isabelle and Cameron. I would highly recommend holding a private party in Newhall Hotel. The accommodation and food was also exceptional.
Stayed here in October 2025 and it is an absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning grounds! The staff were friendly and welcoming, they called us prior to our stay which was nice; we had a few requests and they tried to accommodate as best as they could. The room was spacious and we had a great view of the courtyard. Please note there are no lifts but it wasn't a problem for us as we did not have big luggages. The furniture in the room is old (chair, desk, coffee table, wardrobe etc) but it adds to the traditional feel and character of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were a little soft but still comfortable. Bathroom was very clean but a little old and cold. The room did get rather cold in the evening, but the staff were happy to put the heating on when we made the request. We didn't get to experience the breakfast service or spa facilities as we had an early start for a family event but we are looking forward to return for our own future celebrations/ anniversaries.
We came with four families, grandparents, and three dogs for a late Christmas break, and it was absolutely perfect. The grounds are beautiful, the swimming pool was a real bonus, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. But what truly made our stay special was the staff — incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive throughout. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Our team had a fantastic couple of days at New Hall Hotel for a team building event. Everything went really smoothly from start to finish. The whole team at the hotel were exceptional – super friendly, polite and helpful throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and facilities were of exceptionally high quality and we absolutely loved the private dining room - we weren’t expecting that and it made our evening meal all the more special.
My friend and I recently stayed here for a spa weekend. We have been to a few hotels and spas in the Birmingham area but this hotel is the best we have been to. The hotel and grounds were very well maintained. The staff were so friendly and professional, nothing was too much to ask. Our room was very nice and the bed was so comfortable. The spa treatments were amazing the staff are clearly experienced and well trained. There was no pushy sales chat to buy any of the products after treatments, they told you what they used and you could try the testers if you wanted. The food was very nice and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast. We both came away happy and relaxed and felt as if we had been properly spoiled. Really recommend this hotel for a weekend break.
