Was looking to Visit a Buddhist temple and found this place to know about the place and prayer. It’s located in a small premises and lots of open space around. Seems like closed on Sunday evenings

Beautiful temple and wonderful resident monk, Most Venerable Yatiyana Wajirapala Thero. The Buddhist lay community here is very nice too. This is one of the most welcoming places to visit in North Carolina.

I was driving few days and got a glimpse of this beautiful Temple so I decided to stop and check it out. It was Sunday afternoon and they had finished their service. I was invited to go into the temple. It was beautiful and serene. I wish I understood the meaning of all the beautiful statues. I took a walk around the temple outside, to find more beautiful, I guess shrines. I wish I knew what they all meant. I spent about 15’ contemplating and enjoying everything. It seems it takes a lot of time and dedication to maintain the grounds and painting the figures, lions, cows and Buddha’s throughout the temple grounds. There is also what seems to be a would be pond construction in progress. I know it will be beautiful once it gets filled with water. Also being so early in March, the trees have not bloomed yet. I know they will be so beautiful in the spring. I felt so transported to another beautiful and peaceful world for 15’ and not too far from where I live. A kind reminder to take off your shoes before you enter the temple, should you decide to visit in the spring, Summer or fall!

Je suis extrêmement reconnaissant d'avoir trouvé le Temple bouddhiste de Caroline du Nord. Le Vénérable Wajirapala est un enseignant extrêmement accueillant, compatissant et compétent. Les fidèles du temple sont extrêmement cordiaux et généreux. La méditation du lundi soir et la Sutta Discussion avec M. Christopher Thurston, praticien laïc et enseignant de méditation et instructeur du Dharma, est impressionnante et a été déterminante dans ma pratique du Dharma. C'est un endroit merveilleux. Bhante Wajirapala et les fidèles sont très accueillants envers les pratiquants occidentaux et les personnes qui veulent apprendre la tradition Theravada et le beau Dharma du Bouddha. Belle expérience!!! 100 étoiles!!!!
