Started the new year off trying BJJ for the first time today! I’ve been waiting to try it out and today was my lucky day! I bring my son to this gym and he absolutely loves learning from the instructors and the students are very welcoming!The energy is all around amazing! I love how intimate the environment is and appreciate the effort everyone makes in the gym to make us all feel welcomed. Shout out to Professor Mike for always encouraging us to step on the mat 🙌🤙
We usually train at the Poway location, but the North Park academy is just as impressive. Coach Jason is fantastic - works for all levels. You can tell he truly cares about students improving consistently. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a great training vibe. Plenty of mat space. If you’re considering North Park Jiu Jitsu, you’ll be in great hands. Strong coaching, solid culture, and a high-quality facility. Highly recommend.
My son Emiliano has been in North Park Jiu Jitsu for the past 8 months and he absolutely loves it. The coaches are patient, kind and the atmosphere is great. Its a great balance of theory and practice. Highly recommend.
In the heart of north park , this place is great whether you’re new to the sport , hobbyist or trying to get some good rounds. Very friendly and approachable. They’ve been a part of the community for years and built a culture where everyone at all levels could learn something new. 5/5 see yu on the mat 🫡
One of the coolest BJJ gyms I have visited across the globe. Not only they welcome a first timer or a drop-by visitors super well, but I also was impressed by the coaches' teaching method and the relationship with the students. It was easy to catch that the long time practitioners have a special place here to train and get along with each other. Recommended for both San Diego residents and any practitioner who's looking for a single visit. Keep rolling, oss!
