This place is my go to for both mani and pedis. These are my last two sets, sparkle set was done by Kayla and the red matte was done by Erica. Both girls gave me exactly what I was wanting. The place is always clean and very friendly staff. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality and good prices
This was my second time coming as a walk-in. I wish I was able to get the names of the people who did my pedicures. My first time coming Leon did my nails and this time Ivan did my birthday nails(picture attached). This time I did my nails for my birthday and they came out amazing. I showed him ( Ivan) my inspiration and not only did he do that, but he made it his own. I did both pedicure and full sets both times and they came out great. They kept asking for my opinion before doing it which was nice because they wouldn't do that in other places. I will 100% go again for Christmas.
When I entered I started looking at the nail selection and I was rushed to my seat. There was only one customer other than us so I don’t understand the rush. They began my doing my toes and taking off my old set on my hands. They seemed like they were in a rush, so I asked them both to please not rush, I tend to get hurt when people rush. The lady doing my hands stated it was the machine, when clearly I could tell it wasn’t. She kept grabbing my hands rough and pushing them out of her way and seemed bothered, as I was getting cut while they were doing my toes, so I politely asked if they can do my hands after my toes. She seemed bothered, but said yes the lady doing my toes missed a lot of spots on my toes whether it was discolored. I ended up having Ivan do my hands and he can clearly tell I was upset about my toes, not being done properly and being injured the lady that was supposed to do my manicure was upset I didn’t go back to her and the manager stated I was picky when that was not the case. You can tell the workers in the shop were upset and giving Ivan a hard time for doing my nails. They were extremely unprofessional (Ivan being the only professional that I encountered there). Ivan was apologetic for the other person, hurting my feet and making me bleed and for my service. It definitely felt like a hostile work environment. I felt bad for Ivan having to deal with that type of environment. Ivan did an AMAZING job with my manicure as well as fixing the paint job on my pedicure. Unfortunately due to the unprofessionalism and injury, I will NOT be back. I went there to relax for my birthday but instead came out irritated and injured. I gave this place two stars only because Ivan did a good job on my nails and was professional.
I have been getting my mani/pedis done with Nova Nails Bar (previously Crown Royal Nails) since 2016. After the ownership change, they have been elevating their already excellent service by providing free beverages and snacks (as seen attached photo). I never had a bad experience with any of the nail techs here and they have always been nice and accommodating to me! I always get compliments on my nails whether I do a simple fill or design. Throughout the years I've done multiple types of mani/pedis here. Whether it be normal polish, gel polish, dip powder, nail extensions, and currently builder gel. I do not ask for any specific person as I usually do simple colors or cats eye design at most and they all do a decent to great job in my opinion. I also stray away from intricate designs due to my job and since I want to spare the headache of thinking about what design to do. But today, I wanted to do a design for the fall. I was assigned to their new tech Ivan, who has 4 years of experience but is new to the salon. I wanted to do a simple brown french tip on two of my nails. While he was applying builder gel, I suddenly wanted to add polka dots to one of my nail. But after discussion, he recommended I do this design that incorporated my wants (but was not pressuring me) and I trusted his judgement. I am more than impressed and happier with this design than my original idea! As the new year starts, I want to do more unique nails and I will definitely book my manicures with Ivan to do so. The staff is excellent and takes their time. You cannot go wrong with this salon!
