Do not buy anything from this store. Spent £1600 on a bed side table, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Items were delivered today, chest of drawers with a giant chunk out of them, doors are misaligned and do not close once opened. Wardrobe is also defective, magnetic attachments have broken off in transit and the doors are completely misaligned, the base of the wardrobe has not been fitted properly with giant gaps. Rang the Boucher Road store where we purchased the items and was referred to another department that were closed. Why transfer someone to a department that they know is closed? Additionally, why is there no after care from the store? Once you spend your money you're done to them. Will be getting the furniture refunded as it is clearly of poor quality. Additionally, would rather not support a store who treat their customers as an afterthought.
I’ll preface this review with this: The Belfast showroom is absolutely fine and the staff friendly. Furniture is of good quality. The delivery drivers are friendly and doing their best with the seemingly incredibly limited resources, leadership and information they have been given. This review is simply about the woeful third party delivery company they use to ship from England to NI and the OFL customer service department. We spent a small fortune on 2 2 seater sofas with all the bells and whistles, a treat to ourselves for a new house. Ordered, paid extra for premium delivery and was expecting the items at the end of November. The delivery day arrived and we were left with bits and pieces of a disassembled sofa. After an hour long wait on hold to Customer Service, I was made aware that the other parts never left Swindon. We were advised by the delivery drivers that they were instructed “the customer would’ve been told and they can’t say anything”. We hadn’t and that sort of attitude from a Supervisor is shambolic. Annoying, but we rearranged delivery for the week after. The next week, despite assurances the rest would be coming, we only received one piece of the sofa puzzle, missing 3/4 of a sofa in total. Unacceptable. Another call to customer service resulted in being told that the next day for delivery would be March 2026. I was quite taken aback. The only reason they aren’t getting 1 star is because Amy of Customer Relations, who sorted the ordeal and ensured that all the missing pieces of the package were delivered earlier today. In conclusion, I wouldn’t bother ordering from OFL again and will take my business elsewhere. The people are mostly dead on but the whole delivery ordeal has put a sour taste in my mouth and I’ve heard similar issues from friends and colleagues etc. Shame, OFL used to have a great reputation before the takeover.
We would like to thank Scott at oak furniture land so much for the kind and professional way he helped us with our new suite of furniture , and also the delivery guys who were very professional on delivery, and set-up of our corner suite, we love it and thanks again Jean Steele.
Very friendly and helpful staff who are always on hand to help but not over powering. Lauren was really helpful and listened to everything I wanted in furniture. Will definitely deal with this retailer again
