Unprofessional, disrespectful, and bias. The instructor Jeanette has a horrible attitude. She’s unapologetic about it because there are no repercussions for her behavior, it is condoned. The perks of being the daughter of the owner. I guess. The owner, Jean witnessed her daughter be aggressive towards me when I went to ask her about a conversation that brought my daughter to tears .Jeanette told my daughter to pull her hair back into a uniform bun, which is fine. My daughter went to the restroom to do so as asked with the hair ties that we provide her with. When my daughter returned from the restroom she questioned our morning routine prior to my daughter, going to school and me going to work keep in mind this class is in the evening and I did not bring her, my husband did. Then she proceeded to help another student who was also struggling to fix her bun and sent my child back to the restroom to fend for herself again since the bun was not up to her standards. It was the next part that took my daughter, my husband and myself aback. My Daughter came out emotional due to the attitude she was being given. She told her “oh I’m not angry at you I’m Angry with your mother, because she should have your bun in today. Mind you it was storming that day and they had a weather advisory, allowing people to park on the neutral grounds. My daughter comes from the West Bank three plus times a week to patronize this place. If that doesn’t show dedication I don’t know what does so to come down on her about a bun and that way was excessive.Expressing anger to a 10-year-old girl towards her parents needless to say is unprofessional and disrespectful. Mind you, my daughter has been going there since she was one and a half and my husband dropped her off that day, and she was aware of this but for some reason, her anger was directed and expressed towards me. I was nothing but respectful to all of them our entire time there so this was unwarranted. When I went in to speak about it Jeanette was very aggressive and pointing her hands towards me. Jeanette’s mother(the owner) witnessed all of this along with Jeanette admitting that she had said all of this and doubling down on her disrespect and furthering her disrespect with her actions. She also once told my daughter who is nearsighted. If she keeps looking at her like that, she’s going to regret it. Mind you she did not have her glasses that day and was squinting so she could see better ,but to this woman it was perceived as her narrowing her eyes at her. However, even if she was not nearsighted, how is that any way to speak to someone’s child? Instead of the two incidents being met with an apology and acknowledgment of how unprofessional and excessive this was my daughter was kicked out mid season after busting her butt because I dared to speak up. Her behavior is condoned, the clients are unappreciated and the environment is bias.

Great place for kids dance classes in uptown nola. Hassle-free classes that teach the basics and beyond. You can get anything from pointe classes to hip hop. The instructors are caring and professional. The owners run the place like a fine machine and are happy to help with anything customers need.
