My 7 month old puppy, Schnitzel, completed the 2 week training program with his trainer, Carissa. She was absolutely wonderful to work with and Schnitzel grew pretty attached to her. He learned so much in that time and I’m so happy with the outcome. My timid little boy is now a confident and smart little guy with many skills. Carissa updated me every day with videos of what they were working on & his progress. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Carissa & Off Leash K-9. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
We were so happy with our experience! We brought our 2 year old pitbull, Odo, for a two week board and train with Carissa. We had tried training at home, that worked as long as we were in our house or yard, in public, we could not get him to engage with us. He constantly pulled on the leash and would jump and bite at the leash when he was overwhelmed, it got to the point that we couldn’t take him anywhere! After working with Carissa, we can walk him again, take him to public places, he’s a different dog! There needs to be continued training at home, but Carissa gave us the foundation we couldn’t seem to achieve on our own. First public place we took him I was told, that’s a well trained dog! Carissa was so patient knowing how hard it was to give up our dog for two weeks. She checked in nightly to let us know how his day was with a simple text or video. We will always recommend Off Leash K9 Training! Thanks, Carissa!
Thank you so much to OLK9 Columbus team! Your ability to assess the right training for Samson (1yr old American Mastiff) was key to his success. Carissa needs her own tv show! She was able to make a 140lb slobbery monster pup turn into a 140lb slobbery sweetheart. Sam is so attentive now and on the right path to a wonderful life. No more worries around small animals, children and unfamiliar people! No more leash pulling and rope burn on my hands! It made me a believer in the training and forever grateful to Carissa/ OLK9 team.
Carissa was excellent with our Jax! She sent daily video updates that we looked forward to at the end of our day! We could see the difference in his behavior in the videos within days! Carissa was very good about communicating with us and she even boarded Jax a little earlier than when his actual training began because we were going out of state! She was so kind! After his training, during the meeting/class with our family, she was very patient with my son and I, as we were less experienced with giving commands to a dog vs. my husband, who has a service dog! It was evident that Jax was in great care while we were gone! In every video his tail was so happy. If you are looking for quality training and someone who treats your dog like their own, look no further! Carissa at Off Leash K9 Training is who you are looking for! We are very thankful for the time and dedication that she put into Jax. This allows Jax to stay in our home and no longer be destructive, no longer jumping on family or visitors and no longer barking at everything! What a wonderful change! I want to tell you all, Joeys trainer was fabulous, it was like Joey was a completely different dog…..my entire family wanted me to get rid of Joey, they said he had potty issues, tore up everything in the house, I was crying because everyone hated Joey, they said he is from a puppy mill, so he will never become a good dog , my options were to sell him, give him away or put him down!! All of this was devastating to me, but a 20 year old young lady with K-9 off leash by the name of Brooke took Joey away for 2 weeks and trained him. I got him back and he had been transformed into this young adorable puppy. Brook would send me messages and a video of Joeys training every evening. I could NOT Have asked for a better trainer, she loved him was direct and patient with him…. Just incredible. There is not enough words in the English language to describe how assume Brooke is. I still take Joey to Brooke for boarding, she is the only person that I can trust to love him like her own. All I have to say to Joey is “do you want to go see Brooke” and his little hips get to going with excitement, I worry he is going to dislocate his hips. In my opinion K-9 off leash is fantastic and Brooke is an amazing young lady, you can tell right away just how much compassion she has for dogs.. 5 STAR all the way.
