Great place! Came from North Carolina to get some local wine and this place did not disappoint! The owner (Gerald) was awesome a guy! He showed me the local wines and provided his recommendation for my taste. After I purchased the wine, he gave us a little history of the area. I will definitely make sure to support this business, whenever I’m back in town!
More Than Just Wine - Exceptional Service, Conversation, and Expertise! Stepping into ‘Off The Rox’ was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. While their selection of wines is impressive, what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service, the fantastic conversation I had with the staff, and their deep knowledge of the wines they sell. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and made to feel incredibly welcome. The gentleman behind the counter, (I think his was Gerald), was incredibly knowledgeable... He didn't just point me towards a section; he took the time to understand what I was looking for, my preferences, and even shared some insights into new arrivals I might enjoy, all while demonstrating a remarkable understanding of the bottles on their shelves. His ability to speak about the nuances of the wines they carry was truly impressive. It was clear that the staff are not only passionate about wine but also genuinely enjoy sharing that passion and their expertise with their customers. Their recommendations were spot on, and I left with a bottle I'm truly excited to try, confident in the knowledge shared with me. It's rare to find a store where the service feels so personalized, the interaction so engaging, and the staff so genuinely knowledgeable about their inventory. ‘Off The Rox’ isn't just a place to buy wine; it's an experience that leaves you feeling valued and more informed than when you arrived. Love this local shop! They are always ready to help and will take your bottle or six-pack up front for you so that you can keep browsing. Also, make sure to keep an eye on their socials, they have partnerships with different local breweries, me series, and wineries so you can try before you buy. Lastly, sometimes they even have events on the roof of the building so you can look over the park and downtown; really beautiful.
Awesome place! Staff are always friendly and give great suggestions. Dog friendly in the store and they even brought out a bucket of water for our dog when we were sitting outside. We’ve tried their delivery too and it is so fast and convenient! Definitely recommend.
First time coming here and it won’t be my last! For starters, WOW! This liquor store is so beautifully organized. Along the side of one wall are white wines -> red wines. They specify it as being a light white, sweet white, and deep white (more chardonnay types) - they specify light reds and deep reds also. In the middle of the store, there’s a mix of each; light, deep, sweet, rosé, etc. Along the back wall, all beers - different beers from different regions. They have seltzer’s in that section as well. The guys that work here were super helpful, so professional and so kind! The esthetic of the place was so beautiful, it’s painted a beautiful charcoal color. A must visit for all of your wine needs!
