So glad we found On The Roll Catering for our corporate social hour. All the options sounded amazing and what we ended up picking everyone loved! The mini lobster rolls were soo good, and OMG the Truffled Burrata and Tomato Bruschetta!! Can't wait to order again and try other things

On the Roll is by far the best catering in San Francisco. I have used them a dozen times and they are exceptional each time! The staff is so helpful and kind and the food is amazing!!

Ely from On the Roll Catering was absolutely incredible. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. She was punctual, professional, and communicated clearly every step of the way. Everything was handled efficiently and with such care that it made the entire experience seamless. I would definitely hire her again and highly recommend On the Roll Catering for any event.

On the Roll Catering provided us with the most delicious meal and service on our wedding day. We had specific wants and desires for our wedding reception (Russian food being a particular request of ours) that they were able to address without hesitation and the utmost confidence that they could do it. The managed to work in an outdoor kitchen with few appliances (no oven and barely a stovetop to work with but with a grill) and a more unusual setup with zero issue. This was super impressive considering that the food we had ordered was oven dependent and everything turned out so delicious with their creative use of what was available to them. All of our guests were raving about our food and telling us how yummy it was. They provided tastings for our chosen menu and adjusted the dishes as we requested based on the tasting without any issue and complete humbleness to our requests. They also managed to work within our target budget, which we also appreciated. Lena was our main point of contact and was wonderful to work with and we felt very comfortable knowing she was going to handle our day and take care of us and our guests. The staffs themselves were so kind and sweet and our guests likewise mentioned how wonderful they were. On the Roll Catering also took care of bartending which we asked for only wine and beer and went very smoothly. We would definitely recommend On the Roll Catering to anyone looking to have delicious food, kind staff, and an experienced point of contact at a reasonable cost for their wedding or any other event!

Leading up to our wedding, working with On the Roll Catering and Events was a great experience. Lena was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. The tastings were excellent, and we truly felt heard. They were open to our feedback and made adjustments based on our preferences. The cocktail hour was a highlight – the food was delicious and beautifully presented, and our guests were raving about it. However, the dinner service didn’t go quite as smoothly. We were running a bit behind schedule transitioning guests from cocktail hour to their seats, and the catering team served all the food before everyone was seated. As a result, our meals – and many of our guests’ – were cold by the time we ate. Additionally, wine and water weren’t placed on the tables before the food service began, despite having discussed our wine service preferences in detail during a planning meeting. My husband, my dad, and our venue coordinator all voiced their frustration during the event, and it took longer than expected for the situation to be addressed. Some of the groomsmen even took it upon themselves to grab bottles of wine and serve guests directly, which was helpful, but clearly not something they should have had to do. On top of that, far too many bottles of wine were opened unnecessarily, so we had to send open bottles home with their staff instead of saving them for another occasion. That said, our guests still commented that the food itself was good. We just wish the day-of coordination had matched the quality of the planning phase. With a bit more attention to timing and execution, this could have been a five-star experience.
