We tried this for my friend’s 45th birthday, and overall we enjoyed the painting activity. It’s best suited for an 18+ crowd looking for an entertainment-focused experience. The instructors aim to keep things fun and interactive, though the emphasis is more on humor and engagement than on painting instruction. There’s also a brief comedy-style segment during breaks that adds something to the atmosphere. Those seeking a lively, social night out will likely enjoy it—just keep in mind that some of the humor may be a bit off-kilter and not for everyone. The studio is located in the heart of Grapevine, just off a side road from Main Street. Parking in their small lot is limited, but it’s not an issue since there’s plenty of street parking nearby. The experience is BYOB, and they provide wine openers and cups if you forget yours (like I did). Personal items are placed on side tables so your assigned seat is fully dedicated to painting. Everything is set up for you upon arrival, including a paper plate with the necessary paints, the brushes needed to complete your painting, and a few paper towels. It’s very convenient and well organized. My favorite part of the studio is seeing all the previous paintings that have been created there—it adds a lot of character and inspiration to the space.
My friend and I took a class here and had a fantastic time. Our instructor Laurel, was so much fun and gave great instructions. She was encouraging and brought out the best in all of us. I must admit, I was not sure about the painting, it was Santa's face - and typically I struggle with drawing a stick man, but it actually was fun and came out pretty good. By the end of the night we were all laughing like the entire class knew each other for years. I definitely recommend it. Thanks Laurel, for sharing your magic and helping us make a great memory!
Been here a few times now and everytime the staff is friendly and awesome. As someone who is not very artistic, I was able to follow the instructor very easily. The Trivia nights are my favorite. Already have my next visit planned.
Had a great time painting and sipping here! Abbie was our instructor and walked us through the steps of the painting and she was very patient and kind. We even had a fun little scavenger hunt and Harry Potter trivia!
I had an absolute blast at Painting with a Twist! Colleen and the entire team were fantastic, making the experience so much fun. Their energy and support truly made the night memorable. A huge thank you to them for supporting our SOS - serving Our Seniors initiative; they are genuinely making a difference in the senior community.
